Many players went down to injury in Week 1 of the 2023 NFL season, and one of the biggest was Baltimore Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins. He left the game with an Achilles tear on Sunday and is out for the rest of the season, so plenty of fantasy football managers will be looking for a replacement on the waiver wire.
With the RB well close to dry, is it worth picking up Los Angeles Rams RB Kyren Williams from the wire?

Should Kyren Williams Be a Fantasy Waiver Wire Add This Week?
Heading into Week 1, we all assumed that Cam Akers was the Rams’ RB1. While he did start, Williams entered the game on the second play and didn’t look back. In fact, the only time Akers got the primary carries was once the game was neatly in hand in the fourth quarter. He also got his only TD in garbage time.
The Rams preached Williams’ talent in 2022, but it didn’t turn into much. He only played 10 games and finished with 139 yards on the ground and 76 through the air. In 2023, it might be a different story.

Williams had 15 carries that led to 52 yards and two TDs on a Los Angeles team that surprised offensively, and he is clearly a target on the waiver wire this week.
The usage looked great — Williams and Akers split the goal-line work equally, and the two-minute and short-yardage work exclusively belonged to Williams. Going into the Monday night game, Williams is currently the RB7 of the week.

Williams might be the best replacement for a fantasy team that lost Dobbins to an Achilles injury, and he is currently only 6% rostered in Yahoo leagues, so he is widely available. He’s worth spending 15-20% of your FAAB on in Week 2.
