Parris Campbell’s Fantasy Outlook for the 2023 NFL Season
The Giants had more than 10 WRs in training camp this season, but it still feels like a mystery as to who the best fantasy option is heading into the 2023 NFL season.
The Giants signed Campbell — who showed us brief glimpses of his potential during his time in Indianapolis — to a one-year deal to help bolster the WR group, which failed to produce a top-40 fantasy WR in PPR formats in 2022.
While Campbell goes to one of the few teams in the league with a vacant WR1 role, he will face plenty of competition from WRs vying for that top spot.
Isaiah Hodgins and Darius Slayton are two WRs expected to return to a contributing role in 2023. Wan’Dale Robinson and Sterling Shepard are both working their way back from significant season-ending injuries but are expected to compete for a role in this offense.
The Giants selected speedy rookie WR Jalin Hyatt in the third round of the NFL Draft. And the team traded for former Pro Bowl TE Darren Waller this offseason.
Another potential outcome is that one WR fails to truly emerge on an offense that ranked 25th in the NFL with just 30 passing attempts on a per-game basis.
Is Campbell a Good Fantasy Pick?
Currently, Campbell is as good of a dart throw as any in this Giants WR group.
Campbell quietly enjoyed a career year in 2022, finishing as the WR48 in PPR formats with a stat line of 63-623-3.
