Scouting the 2020 Rose Bowl: Oregon Ducks vs. Wisconsin Badgers

Justin Herbert comes off a frustrating and uninspired season.  While he didn’t play poor football, except for the Arizona State contest, he did little to instill the belief he’s a potential franchise quarterback at the next level.  And though Herbert possesses all the necessary tools to lead a team in the NFL, many understandably question his fire and killer instinct.  There’s a concern his passive, seemingly blasé’ personality will lead to doom when he takes the field on Sundays.

This is expected to be Jonathan Taylor’s final college football game for the Badgers as the junior is going to enter the draft.  The ultra-productive college ball carrier is a terrific straight-ahead runner that would be a great fit in a power-gap running scheme.

The Rose Bowl between the Ducks and Badgers is full of terrific next-level offensive lineman who will be scattered throughout the draft. I expect Badgers OL Tyler Biadasz to battle Cesar Ruiz of Michigan for the top spot at the center position in April’s draft.  All four Oregon linemen listed on my board will make an NFL roster in one form or another, as starters or back-ups.
