    Dallas Cowboys Practice Report: Trevon Diggs Has His Best Practice of Training Camp

    During the Dallas Cowboys' ninth day of practice, more possible injuries popped up, and cornerback Trevon Diggs had his best day of camp yet.

    The Dallas Cowboys had their ninth day of practice at training camp. It was a physical day, and things are coming together for the Cowboys in all units. The glimmers of talent within this team were hard to ignore today.

    Dallas Cowboys Day 9 Practice Report

    Injury Updates

    Defensive tackle Mazi Smith was not at practice today. NFL Network reported that Smith has been dealing with tendinitis throughout camp and would undergo a precautionary MRI.

    Practice was physical today, with multiple videos of players having to get checked out by the trainers.

    One was center Tyler Biadasz, who grabbed his right leg and walked off the field. Reports state that Biadasz is now dealing with an ankle injury that isn’t considered serious.

    Defensive end Viliami Fehoko has a shoulder strain, and wide receiver David Durden suffered a concussion today, according to the Dallas Morning News. As a result, Durden is not expected to play in Saturday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

    Lastly, safety Juanyeh Thomas collided with another player during practice. Thomas got checked out by the training staff by later returned to practice.

    Other Cowboys Notes

    Tight end Luke Schoonmaker continued his ramp-up today and got a little more workload. He participated in individual and team drills, but there remains no word on whether or not Schoonmaker will play on Saturday.

    Running back Tony Pollard was not at practice again today due to personal reasons. However, head coach Mike McCarthy said that Pollard will return to the team tonight.

    Star of the Show

    Today’s star of the show was cornerback Trevon Diggs who racked up three interceptions at practice.

    Diggs, who was dealing with a bruised toe during the first week of practice, is finding his groove in the backfield. His interceptions came against CeeDee Lamb, Brandin Cooks, and Simi Fehoko. He ran routes, jumped over players, and played nearly perfectly in practice today.

    Kicking Update

    With Brandon Aubrey being the only kicker left at camp, all eyes are now on him. Aubrey had a perfect day at practice and didn’t miss an attempt. He went 11 of 11, even with a breeze, according to Michael Gehlken.
