Day 1 of the 2023 NFL Draft was a very long evening for Kentucky quarterback Will Levis. And it wasn’t a dream night for Tennessee’s Hendon Hooker either.
Thirty-one names were called. Theirs weren’t among them.
At least Levis and Hooker won’t have to suffer for much longer. In our Day 2 NFL Draft preview, we look at the teams who need quarterbacks but passed on them Thursday night.

Three quarterbacks went in the first four picks.
The Carolina Panthers took Bryce Young at No. 1. The Houston Texans took C.J. Stroud at No. 2. And the Indianapolis Colts took Anthony Richardson at No. 4. After that, not another one went the rest of the night.
That certainly came as a surprise — considering the pre-draft hype surrounding Levis and how teams looking for a QB often take them before they should.

That wasn’t the case for Levis (the No. 26 overall prospect on the PFN Consensus Big Board) or Hooker (No. 56).
