The main event of the first week of the pro day schedule was in Texas, where Bijan Robinson was largely viewed as the star attraction. With as many as 50 NFL people taking in the workout, here are the latest pro day news and rumors coming out of Austin.
Pro Day News and Rumors | Bijan Robinson and Roschon Johnson Impress
Both Robinson and fellow Longhorn running back Roschon Johnson reportedly looked exceptional in position drills. In terms of where they could land in the upcoming 2023 NFL Draft, that remains up in the air. Both backs had dinner meetings with the Buffalo Bills on Wednesday night ahead of Texas’ Pro Day.
The feeling leaving the workout is that Robinson may not last until the Bills pick in the first round at 27th overall. The Philadelphia Eagles and Howie Roseman kept popping up when Robinson was the topic of conversation. The big question is whether the Eagles would take the Texas running back with the 10th pick.
Personally, I don’t see it. However, in recent years, Roseman has been a master at working the draft and moving around. Therefore, sliding down a few spots and then taking Robinson could be on the table.
Johnson is a bigger, more bruising back with a punishing style. Yet, he does everything well in terms of carrying the ball, catching the ball, and blocking. He’ll be a good fit in a power-gap offense. Johnson is someone that has a chance to go off the board either in Round 2 or early in the third.
Moro Ojomo and Keondre Coburn Also Impressed
Both Moro Ojomo and Keondre Coburn turned in good workouts at Texas’ Pro Day.
After weighing 292 pounds at the NFL Combine and timing 5.01 seconds in the 40, Ojomo put forward a time of 4.56 seconds in the short shuttle and 7.43 seconds in the three-cone. He looked agile and powerful during drills based on the film sent to me. Ojomo, who was one of the best interviews PFN did at the Shrine Bowl this year, is reportedly drawing some interest from the New England Patriots.
Coburn, meanwhile, looked very athletic in position drills, but his 322-pound frame ran out of gas toward the end of the workout.
Jahleel Billingsley and Tarique Milton
Tight end Jahleel Billingsley also participated in the pro day. The Alabama transfer, who played in two games for the Longhorns last season, measured 6’4’’ and 225 pounds, and was clocked as fast as 4.53 seconds in the 40 by a few teams.
Billingsley touched 36.5 inches in the vertical jump and 9’11’’ in the broad jump. The athletic pass catcher missed six games last season due to a suspension — carried over from his days at Alabama.
There is some uncertainty over what position Billingsley will play at the next level. Some see him as a possession receiver, some as a move tight end, and others as something in between the two.

Receiver Tarique Milton timed the 40 right around 4.40 seconds, touched 34.5 inches in the vertical jump, and hit 9’10” in the broad jump. Milton is an interesting case. An explosive athlete who transferred from Iowa State after a bit of a falling out with the program.
A lot was expected from Milton coming into the season, but he only caught two passes for 40 yards. His production has really fallen off since his first two seasons at Iowa State, where he was a standout. Milton possesses the dimensions and style to be a slot receiver/return specialist but must really get his game back on track.
