Ja’Marr Chase Dynasty Profile: Fantasy Outlook, Value, Projections, and Rankings

Where is the dynasty value of Ja'Marr Chase, and where does he fall in our rankings with dynasty season in full swing for 2023?

As we close in toward the new season, the ever-changing NFL landscape has player fantasy values constantly on the move, with key events like free agency and the 2023 NFL Draft still to come. Whether you’re used to the dynasty platform or are still learning the rules, let’s dive into the latest dynasty fantasy football value of WR Ja’Marr Chase.

Ja’Marr Chase’s Dynasty Outlook and Value

Chase is showing us everything we need to see, and I could’ve said that same thing this time last year. After recording 1,455 yards and 13 touchdowns on 128 targets as a rookie, Chase had another great year, albeit shortened due to injuries.

Despite playing in 12 games, Chase saw six more targets in 2022 (134) than he did the year prior. He also set a new career best with 87 receptions and cracked the 1,000-yard barrier again with 1,046 yards and nine TDs. From a per-game perspective, Chase averaged 7.3 receptions on 11.2 targets for 87.2 yards and 0.8 touchdowns. He was the WR6 in points per game at 18.3 PPR.

There’s not much to say about Chase that hasn’t already been said. He’s the player we all thought he would be during his historic season at LSU, and the chemistry between him and Joe Burrow is unparalleled in this league. When you factor in that these two could be together for a decade plus if the stars aligned, you’re looking at a future Hall of Famer in Chase.

This offense has a 1A and 1B rather than a No. 1 and No. 2 option. Chase and Tee Higgins are both Superman when the ball is in the air. Chase simply has an extra gear in the open field or when the ball is in his hands.

While some view having two No. 1s on a roster as a detriment, I do not. Chase is special. Plain and simple. His value will continue to soar so long as he stays healthy, making him one of the highest-sought-after players in all of dynasty.

    Ja’Marr Chase’s Fantasy Ranking

While I lean toward Justin Jefferson as my No. 1, the multi-year security of Burrow makes a solid case for Chase as the most valuable player in dynasty. If you are in a 1QB league, Chase is the No. 2 overall player for me and is the WR2 in PPR formats.

In Superflex rankings, where QBs see an increase in value due to positional scarcity, Chase is the No. 6 overall player behind the top four QBs (Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, and Burrow) and Jefferson.

It would take more than someone is willing to give for me to trade away Chase. At this point, the only way to guarantee he is on your roster is the hope you have the first overall pick in a startup draft. Outside of that, Chase is nearly untouchable in dynasty. I don’t see that changing for a long, long time.
