DL Lukas Van Ness, Iowa | Round 1, Pick 10
It’s uncharted territory when a Super Bowl team has a pick in the top 10, but that’s where the Eagles are at after their deal with the Saints in 2022. It’s a very advantageous position to be in, as Philadelphia can replenish its roster with a potential blue-chip talent.
There’s more projection involved with Lukas Van Ness than most prospects at this point. But at 6’5″, 275 pounds, Van Ness has the high-end athleticism and power to line up on the edge or farther inside, giving even more multiplicity to the Eagles’ already versatile front.
CB Tyrique Stevenson, Miami (FL) | Round 1, Pick 30
We know the 2023 NFL Draft CB group is very strong, but one name you don’t often see mocked in Round 1 is Tyrique Stevenson. After his Senior Bowl showing, however, he should start to see more recognition in that range.
Stevenson is a high-level technician with foot speed, fluidity, and physicality at 6’0″, 204 pounds, with over 32″ arms. Not only is he very refined and fast-paced as a player, but Stevenson’s also a freak athlete who should wow at the Combine with his speed and explosiveness.
DT Keeanu Benton, Wisconsin | Round 2, Pick 62
I made this pick in my recent three-round NFL Mock Draft, and I’ll make it again here. In the 2023 NFL Draft, there are few prospect-team fits that I like more than Wisconsin’s Keeanu Benton to the Eagles.
At 6’3 1/2″ and 312 pounds, with arms almost 34″ long, Benton fits Philadelphia’s desired mold of defensive linemen. And with both Fletcher Cox and Jaxon Hargrave scheduled for free agency, Benton can fill the void as a violent, tenacious, and heavy-handed interior lineman.
RB Tyjae Spears, Tulane | Round 3, Pick 94
Picture this for a second. You’re a linebacker, stepping in as the Eagles’ offense gets set up. You see Jalen Hurts and Tyjae Spears in the backfield. The ball snaps. It’s a read-option look. Fear sets in. And after a moment of indecision, you see Spears in space, exploding upfield.

Alongside an adept QB running threat in Hurts, Spears’ explosiveness, dynamic athleticism, and sharp instincts would be lethal. As he showed at the Senior Bowl, Spears is a catalyst in every sense of the word, and he also brings value on passing downs with his blocking and receiving.
DT DJ Dale, Alabama | Round 7, Pick 221
There’s a big gap between the Eagles’ third-round pick and their next selection early in Round 7.
In this Eagles NFL Mock Draft, Philadelphia uses this first seventh to shore up the depth on the defensive line. DJ Dale isn’t the most dynamic pass rusher, but he’s a very stout, reliable run defender with a good combination of leverage and length.
WR Mitchell Tinsley, Penn State | Round 7, Pick 250
With their final pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Philadelphia selects local product and Penn State alum Mitchell Tinsley — one of many potential steals in another deep wide receiver class.
Tinsley has the feel of a receiver who’ll stick around in a rotation and provide quality depth for years on end. He has a passable mix of size and athleticism, RAC ability, crisp route-running skills, and exceptional catching instincts when the ball is in the air.
