The Philadelphia Eagles boast one of the best coaching staffs in the NFL in 2023. Head coach Nick Sirianni has quickly assembled an impressive group. It’s not an accident the Eagles won 14 regular-season games and reached Super Bowl 57 in 2022-23.
Despite multiple head coaching interviews for both Eagles coordinators, much of Philadelphia’s coaching staff appears to be back for 2023. Let’s briefly dive into the background of Sirianni, offensive coordinator Shane Steichen, and defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon.
Philadelphia Eagles Coaching Staff 2023
Head Coach Nick Sirianni
Sirianni was hired in January 2021 by the Eagles after completing a three-year stint with the Indianapolis Colts as their offensive coordinator. Sirianni’s Colts offenses finished in the top eight of scoring twice in three seasons, and he’s hit that mark in both seasons in Philadelphia. In each of the last four seasons, Sirianni’s built a top-11 rushing attack.

Offensive Coordinator Shane Steichen
The 37-year-old Steichen joined Sirianni’s staff after spending nine of his previous 10 seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers. Steichen started as a defensive assistant before promoting to an offensive quality control analyst in Cleveland for one year. He then returned to the Chargers organization to the same position in 2014, before being promoted to quarterbacks coach and eventually offensive coordinator in 2020.
Steichen joined Sirianni’s staff in 2021. His 2022 offense finished third in yards created and points scored. He interviewed for several head coaching jobs in the 2023 offseason.
