Thursday Night Football tonight actually features a matchup that some would argue is interesting. It might not be anywhere near the caliber of this past weekend’s Vikings vs. Bills game-of-the-year candidate, but at least both teams are playing for something. Let’s look at who is playing tonight, what time the game starts, and how you can watch it.
Who Plays on Thursday Night Football Tonight?
Teams
Tennessee Titans (6-3) vs. Green Bay Packers (4-6)
Location
Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisconsin
This week’s Thursday Night Football game will feature the Tennessee Titans as they travel into the frigid temperatures of Wisconsin to take on the Green Bay Packers. Both of these teams are coming off wins, but the Packers are surely still riding high after their surprising come-from-behind overtime win against the Dallas Cowboys this past week.
The similarities between these two teams are kind of uncanny. Not only did they both get wins last week, but they also both saw the emergence of young wide receivers. For the Packers, it was rookie Christian Watson who torched the Dallas secondary for an unreal 107 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers had been looking for someone to step up since the departure of Davante Adams, and Watson finally did just that. However, with this being Week 11 and the NFC North all but out of arms reach, some might wonder if Watson’s breakout has come just a little too late.

Meanwhile, for the Titans, third-year WR Nick Westbrook-Ikhine had a breakout game of his own against an elite Denver Broncos defense, putting up 5 receptions for 119 yards and 2 touchdowns. A big chunk of those yards came on a flea flicker that left him completely wide open, but the stat line was impressive nonetheless.
When it comes to this game, it will be interesting to see if either team can use this newfound offensive success on a short week. At most sportsbooks, the Packers are currently laying just under a field goal (2.5). With them being at home for the second week in a row, oddsmakers are basically saying that these two teams are even. When looking at the rosters and stats, it is hard to argue that.
When we talked about similarities before, one important one might be points per game. The Packers are currently averaging 18.5, while the Titans are averaging 18.4. Both teams rely heavily on the run thanks to talent like Derrick Henry and Aaron Jones, and both teams have struggled with the pass.
What might be the deciding factor here is the Packers’ run defense. They have struggled all season, and the Titans currently have the second-best run game in the league. If they can get Henry going, it might be a long day at Lambeau. However, if the Packers can continue to expand their pass attack, they might be able to do some damage against one of the worst pass defenses in the league.
PFN’s Betting Director BJ Rudell broke down this game in his early Week 11 picks and predictions. He leaned on the home team once again finding a way to get a win.
“I expect the Packers to build off their Week 10 turnaround and expose one of the league’s most statistically generous pass defenses.”
