Buccaneers vs. Seahawks DFS Picks for FanDuel: A Munich Celebration Featuring Geno Smith

These FanDuel Buccaneers vs. Seahawks DFS picks are based on game-script analyses for their Week 10 NFL matchup in Munich.

If you’re making Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Seattle Seahawks DFS picks on FanDuel for Sunday’s Week 10 NFL matchup in Munich, then you’ve come to the right place. We’ve analyzed each team’s highest-probability game scripts to assess the most likely outcomes, including which players are in line to thrive more than anticipated or fall short of expectations.

The following recommended fantasy football lineup (for tournaments, 50/50, or head-to-head competitions) aims to lock in a relatively high floor while maximizing upside.

    Buccaneers Considerations

Last year at this time, the Buccaneers were flying high at 6-2, firmly on the road to back-to-back Super Bowl titles. Several key injuries (and a dramatic Matthew Stafford heave to Cooper Kupp) later, Tom Brady retired. Then he unretired. And now, perhaps, he wishes he’d stayed retired.

Or maybe not. Maybe Brady’s at his best — his most dangerous — when he’s counted out.

Some of you might remember that September 2014 game in Kansas City. Brady had three TDs and two turnovers entering that Week 4 matchup. One TD and three more turnovers later, he was benched for Jimmy Garoppolo late in a blowout loss.

The following day I shared with readers, “Tonight’s beatdown at the hands of the Chiefs is yet another example of Brady’s seemingly precipitous decline.”

Then, in his next five games, the seemingly ancient 37-year-old Brady threw 18 TD passes while committing only one turnover, leading New England on a five-game winning streak while scoring 40 points per contest.

So as we weigh our DFS options for this struggling Buccaneers franchise, we have to recognize that Brady is the key. As he goes, so goes the offense, especially with starting RB Leonard Fournette averaging a meager 2.8 yards per carry since Week 2.

If we’re bullish on Brady, then we can select several Bucs with confidence. Otherwise . . . we’re in uncharted territory.

    Seahawks Considerations

DFS and Seattle go well together. We have a pretty finite range of options that begins with Geno Smith and his two exceptional wideouts, as well Kenneth Walker III.

We also know what DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett can do. But we should also consider a slight shift in near-elite reliability. Last season, they had a combined nine performances with 20+ DFS points and 17 performances with 12+ points.

This year? They’ve hit 20+ only twice — well behind their 2021 pace. But they do have 11 combined outings with 12+ points. If those trends hold, they’re good bets for “good” or even “very good” numbers. But if we want breakout production, we might need to look elsewhere.

Elsewhere, nothing but dart throws. Will it be Noah Fant’s turn or Will Dissly’s? Is the returning Marquise Goodwin worth a flier, or was his two-TD outburst in Week 7 more fluke than fate?

Still, with a hard salary cap, we might need at least one cheap option if we go big elsewhere.

Top DFS Picks for Buccaneers vs. Seahawks

Today, we’re playing FanDuel “MVP” mode, which includes one player who earns 1.5 times his scoring output, plus four Flex players.

The following NFL betting recommendations are based on proprietary PFN predictive analytics pulled from decades of NFL historical data. Using this data, I’ve built dozens of models showing actionable probabilities of better-than-expected and worse-than-expected outcomes.

MVP: RB Kenneth Walker III, Seahawks ($16,000)

The most expensive option in this contest is also our MVP. The rookie Walker has picked up where the injured Rashaad Penny left off — and then lifted this offense to the next level. His 5.1 yards per carry, modest-yet-effective usage in the passing game, and goal-line touches give him a monster upside.

Flex: QB Geno Smith, Seahawks ($15,500)

Weighed this very carefully and decided it was the best option. Whether on the ground or through the air, Smith is poised for a statement game against the most decorated QB of all time.

Flex: WR Chris Godwin, Buccaneers ($10,500)

Chris Godwin has four straight games with 10+ targets. Yet the far more TD-dependent Cade Otton is priced at only $1,000 less. Godwin might be the best value play in this slate. He won’t be scoreless forever.

Flex: RB Rachaad White, Buccaneers ($10,000)

This decision assumes Tampa Bay has seen enough. Fournette played heroically last season. But now this team is fighting for a playoff spot, and White simply looks better on a range of metrics.

Flex: WR Julio Jones, Buccaneers ($7,500)

With $8,000 remaining in our budget, the best options we can afford might be Julio Jones, Scotty Miller, and Fant. I like the Godwin/Jones WR stack, particularly in 50/50 DFS contests. Whether Brady’s operating with a lead or while trailing, he’s still going to throw. A lot. Jones is still getting starter targets.
