Then there were four. College Football Week 10 saw a contest billed as the game of the season end one team’s hopes of going undefeated through the course of the 2022 campaign while another were steam-rolled in South Bend.
Which teams survived another week of college football thrills and spills, how did they make it through, and who is their next obstacle in the quest to go through the entire college football season undefeated?
College Football Teams Undefeated After Week 10
Athens, Georgia. The College Football National Championship resides here. Teams have come to play between the hedges and have been chewed up and spat out by the 2022 edition of the Georgia Bulldogs. Yet, after the initial College Football Playoffs ranking, disrespect despite dominance darkened the air and the mood around Sanford Stadium.
It became very obvious, very quickly, that the Week 10 clash between unbeaten Tennessee and underestimated Georgia was personal for this Bulldogs team. The defense suffocated and harangued Hendon Hooker and the usually high-octane Vols offense. The run game bullied, and the passing game was on point as Stetson Bennett IV seared the secondary.
The result was a 27-13 Georgia win that was more dominant than the scoreline suggests. The Bulldogs depart college football Week 10 with a substantial foothold in the SEC Championship Game, a feeling that a return to the College Football Playoffs is a mere formality, and — most importantly — with the respect that had been removed on Tuesday night by Boo Corrigan and the CFB Playoffs committee firmly re-established.

Another team trying to wash the taste of disrespect off their tongues was the TCU Horned Frogs. Despite taking an early lead over Texas Tech, they once again had to play from behind but emerged victorious after three fourth-quarter touchdowns contributed to a 34-24 win. While the manner of victory might not appease the College Football Playoffs committee, Sonny Dykes’ team remains undefeated through college football Week 10.
The Ohio State Buckeyes had to come from behind to beat Northwestern and remain undefeated through. In a typical November Big Ten showdown, swirling winds and cold impacted one of the hottest quarterbacks in the nation — C.J. Stroud — causing question marks over his Heisman Trophy candidacy. Two Miyan Williams touchdowns and an Emeka Egbuka run secured a 21-7 win for the Buckeyes.
Clemson’s dreams of making the College Football Playoffs and emulating the 2018 Tigers team suffered a significant setback in South Bend. Having struggled offensively for large swathes of the season, they put up just 14 points and less than 300 total yards as Notre Dame excelled in all phases of the game.

The Fighting Irish found the end zone on a blocked punt, Benjamin Morrison’s interception, and two rushing scores before Michael Mayer dealt the final hammer low of a 35-14 defeat in the fourth quarter.
Michigan overcame a poor first-half showing to rout Rutgers 52-17 in Piscataway, leaving the Big Ten as the only conference with multiple undefeated teams through college football Week 10. The Wolverines were 17-14 down at the half to the Scarlet Knights before the ground game asserted its dominance with three second-half touchdowns from Donovan Edwards, Blake Corum, and Isaiah Gash.
Can any team match 2019 LSU, 2018 Clemson, or 2013 Florida State and win a title without a single loss in the entire season? These are the contenders following all of the college football action in Week 9.
