Who Plays During the NFL London Game Today?

Denver Broncos vs. Jacksonville Jaguars - Location
Wembley Stadium, London
If you thought we had escaped Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos in primetime, well… now we get to watch them play in London. And although the NFL’s London games have been mostly exceptional this year, expectations are not high for this one.
Why? Well, the Broncos are currently averaging a woeful 14.3 points per game. After missing last week due to an injury, Wilson returns thanks to some infamous extra workout time during the plane ride over.
On the other side of the ball, London fans will get to watch the Jacksonville Jaguars. Exciting right? Well, not when you consider they are currently on a four-game losing streak. So, we have one team that can’t score, clashing with another team that can’t win. Yay.
The NFL London game’s betting lines opened at Jaguars (-2.5) since they are technically the home team. Jacksonville is currently 4-4 when playing in London and is the team with the most experience overseas. Will their London familiarity be enough for them to overcome the one good part of this Broncos team, their defense?
The Broncos are third in points allowed, giving up just 16.4 per game. They are also second in total yards allowed, second in pass defense, and 15th against the run. PFN’s Betting Director BJ Rudell broke down this NFL London game in his NFL Week 8 predictions and picks.
“Russell Wilson is returning, although one could argue he won’t be much better than Brett Rypien would have been against the Jags. As rumors swirl about Denver becoming sellers before the trade deadline, I can’t imagine that locker room will be a happy place, even if they’re enjoying heaping piles of Yorkshire pudding.”
