The Patriots come into this game on a two-game win streak, having seen off the Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns in the past two games. At 3-3, the Patriots sit at the bottom of the division but desperately need this win to stay in touch. Sunday saw the Miami Dolphins advance to 4-3 with a victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, while the New York Jets moved to 5-2 as they held off the Denver Broncos on the road.
The Patriots have been intriguing this year. They’ve built their team around a strong defense with an efficient offense. They sit eighth in the NFL in terms of points allowed per game at 18.8. Meanwhile, on offense, they have worked off an efficient pass game, sitting second in the league in net yards per passing attempt at 7.3.
One element that the Patriots will be desperate to work on is their offense inside the red zone. They are the fourth-worst offense at converting red-zone opportunities into touchdowns (45%). Despite that, they are still 13th in the league in points per game (23.5).

The Bears head into the NFL game today needing a win to stay in touch in the NFC North. At 2-4, they are three games behind the Minnesota Vikings (5-1). Yet, with the Detroit Lions (1-5) and Green Bay Packers (3-4) both losing this week, the Bears have a chance to compete for the second spot in the division.
Much like the Patriots, the Bears have built themselves around their defense. At 19.7 points allowed per game, they rank 11th in the league. However, their offense has struggled significantly. At 15.5 points per game, only the Denver Broncos offense has proven to be less potent so far in 2022.
The Bears’ inability to score in a large part comes from their red-zone struggles. They have just a 46.7% conversion rate, which is the fifth-lowest number in the league. Additionally, Chicago is 24th in the league in third-down conversion rate at 35.6%.
The one positive for the Bears’ offense has been their run game performance. They average 5.2 yards per pass attempt, which is the sixth-highest number in the league. But Chicago’s passing game is one of the worst in the league, and they have just four passing touchdowns to five interceptions so far this season.
