Linderbaum took home the Rimington Trophy in 2021 and was also a finalist for both the Outland Trophy and Lombardi Award. He was a first-team All-American selection in 2021 and a first-team All-Big Ten selection in both 2020 and 2021. He is the sixth Iowa offensive lineman selected in the first round since 2000 and the 11th since 1967.

Because Linderbaum was the 25th overall selection in the 2022 NFL Draft, this is what his projected rookie contract should look like. Contract numbers are from Over the Cap.

    • Total Value: $14.9 million
    • Signing Bonus: $8.0 million

Linderbaum’s strengths and areas to improve

Here is a snapshot of what the Ravens will be getting with the selection of Linderbaum. For further information, check out Linderbaum’s full scouting report.

    Strengths

    • Fundamentally sound, bends his knees, and consistently gets leverage on opponents
    • Exceptionally quick off the snap, stays square, and uses his hands very effectively
    • Keeps his feet moving, works to block as many defenders as possible on a single snap, and shows outstanding vision

    Areas for improvement

    • Overextends into run blocks on occasion
    • Does a lot of clutching and grabbing against bigger opponents
    • Could stand to gain some muscle mass

How does Linderbaum project in the Ravens’ depth chart?

Linderbaum is a perfect selection for the Ravens in the middle of their offensive line. He will immediately compete with Patrick Mekari and could easily have that job before Week 1. The Ravens’ offensive line is looking increasingly terrifying for those AFC North defenses.
