Ball State all-conference selection Jaylin Thomas has created growing interest as an athletic, ultra-productive inside linebacker. Thomas (6-foot-1, 231 pounds) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.66 to 4.74 seconds with a 1.64 split at his campus Pro Day workout with 19 reps in the bench press, a 34 1/2 inch vertical leap, a 10-3 broad jump.

Thomas has private workouts with the Indianapolis Colts, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, and Miami Dolphins, according to a league source. The Houston Texans have also expressed interest in Thomas, per a source.
Thomas recorded 402 career tackles with 27 1/2 tackles for losses and five interceptions. He was a three-time All-Mid-American Conference selection.
Sixteen NFL teams attended his Pro day, including the San Francisco 49ers, Chicago Bears, Cleveland Browns, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Los Angeles Chargers, Colts, Washington Commanders, Dolphins, Atlanta Falcons, New York Giants, New York Jets, Green Bay Packers, Carolina Panthers, Las Vegas Raiders, Seattle Seahawks and Tennessee Titans.
Thomas recorded 113 tackles, seven for losses, and four interceptions last season.
“I got my family on my back, supporting me,” Thomas said at his Pro Day. “It’s a great moment. It goes to show that all this hard work throughout these years has paid off. It’s a good feeling to be able to represent this university and my family as well.
“It’s a blessing. It’s been a long road walking in and out of these facilities but it feels good to be back, be home and represent this university.”
