Is Tyreek Hill playing tonight vs. the Bills?

Tyreek Hill suited up last week in the Wild Card round after injuring his heel in Week 18 warmups, but is he playing in the Divisional Round?

In Week 18, Tyreek Hill limped around in pregame warmups, and Kansas City Chiefs fans held their breath. Nevertheless, he suited up and played in the Wild Card round against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Is Hill playing in the Chiefs’ fiery matchup against the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round, and how has he performed in fantasy football for the 2021-2022 season?

Is Tyreek Hill playing today vs. the Bills?

According to reports, Hill will go into this game against Buffalo with zero injury mentions or concerns. He’s fully fit and ready to go, and currently, there’s no reason to believe otherwise.

Prior to the Chiefs’ Week 18 game against the Denver Broncos, Hill limped off the field with an apparent heel injury. He still played the game but was on the field for only 12 snaps, catching 1 pass for 2 yards.

Hill has since returned to the lineup, perhaps just taking caution in the final game of the regular season. He was active and back with the offense last weekend as the Chiefs defeated the Steelers 42-21. Hill had 5 catches for 57 yards and a touchdown in the game.

Hill’s 2021 season with the Chiefs

Hill has shown no signs of slowing down his impressive career. The “Cheetah” rounded out the regular season with 1,239 yards receiving. It’s the fourth time he’s surpassed the 1,000-yard mark in five years. The only anomaly was 2019, where Hill had missed four games early in the season. Nevertheless, he still passed 1,000 yards in the playoffs that season.

Hill had a career-high receptions total this year. His 111 catches for 1,239 yards and 9 touchdowns topped his previous career-high 87 receptions in both 2018 and 2020.

This year felt a little different for him, though. There was a higher volume of short-yardage receptions and fewer over-the-top deep connections with Patrick Mahomes. Perhaps that’s the way defenses key on him now, or he’s simply proving that he’s a genuine do-it-all wide receiver in this league.

At 5’10” and 185 pounds, I would happily make the case that Hill is the most impressive pound-for-pound pass catcher the NFL has to offer. Not only does he possess electric speed but an ability to be a reliable target for his quarterback. He and Mahomes have many more years to create highlights together in Kansas City.

    Tyreek Hill’s fantasy football season

Hill once again landed in the top 10 of wide receivers in standard format leagues this year. His 298.5 points placed him seventh amongst his position group, down five spots from 2020 when he finished in second.

Hill is one of the safest picks you can make in fantasy football leagues. You can always expect a high volume of targets, resulting in close to (or over) 300 points in fantasy. And Hill knows where the end zone is — since turning pro, he has 62 TDs.

Hill is ready to go against Buffalo, as two of the league’s best rosters face off for a place in the AFC Championship Game.
