Stefon Diggs DFS Value, Prop Bets vs. Chiefs: Bills’ WR1 is valued properly

Heading into the Divisional Round, what is Stefon Diggs' outlook for DFS formats, and are there any prop bets that present value?

The Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs is upon us, which means just a handful of games remain in the season. Time is limited to capitalize on fantasy football and betting value. Here at Pro Football Network, we’re diving into each individual player taking the field this weekend and seeing what values might exist. Today, we’ll look at Stefon Diggs’ DFS value and whether any prop bets are worth taking.

Stefon Diggs’ DFS value vs. Chiefs

It still seems strange for Diggs to be just the seventh-most expensive wide receiver on the DraftKings weekend slate. At $6,500, Diggs jumps out as a value. The Chiefs defense allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season, and this is a potential shootout with a total of 54 points — the highest of the weekend.

The concern with Diggs is he just didn’t display the same weekly ceiling he did in 2020. Diggs had only one 30-point PPR fantasy game this season and just three others over 20. It’s also worth noting he caught just 2 passes for 69 yards in the Bills’ Week 5 victory over the Chiefs. Last year, Diggs had seven games over 20 fantasy points.

Given Diggs’ talent, he always has the potential to completely smash. With that said, Josh Allen should be heavily rostered this weekend. Diggs is his top wide receiver and the one most likely to be stacked with him.

If you’re going with a Bills stack that contains a chalky Allen, a good way to differentiate might be to fade Diggs and stack Allen with Gabriel Davis ($4,600) or Isaiah McKenzie ($3,500).

Stefon Diggs prop bets this weekend

Diggs’ receiving yards total opened at 71.5 (-115) on DraftKings. It’s a total he exceeded eight times this season. I am reluctant to take yardage unders in any likely shootout, especially ones for talented elite WR1s. However, I’m not confident in the over either. This is just a prop to avoid.

I’m more interested in Diggs’ receptions line, which is set at 6.5, but the under is -150. Diggs also exceeded 6 receptions in eight games in 2021. Sometimes, the sportsbooks set the lines at perfect numbers. That’s my read on this situation. Discretion is the better part of valor. Stay away from Diggs’ props this Sunday.
