Week 16 Kicker Streamers
Here are a few kickers to consider streaming in your Week 16 lineups. As the conditions begin to change with winter coming, note whether games are indoors or which might be subject to inclement weather when choosing kickers for the upcoming week.
Evan McPherson, Cincinnati Bengals
There is range, and then there is range. Evan McPherson falls in the latter category. He connected on all three of his field-goal attempts with distances of 26, 53, and 58 yards.
McPherson has made 24 of 28 field goals on the season but has converted 9-of-10 from 50 yards or more. He is also 95% on extra points at 37-of-39. Cincinnati’s passing attack always has a solid chance to get McPherson within range, which helps raise his floor. He has low-end K1 upside in Week 16 against Baltimore.
Chris Boswell, Pittsburgh Steelers
Chris Boswell continues to be one of the best kickers in the NFL despite kicking in one of the hardest stadiums in the entire league. Against the Titans on Sunday, Boswell connected on 4 of 5 field-goal attempts with his lone miss on a 56-yard attempt. He also converted his only extra point as well.
Boswell has made multiple FGs in five of the last seven games, and during that stretch, has made 16 of 18 field-goal attempts while connecting on 11 of 13 extra points. A matchup against the Chiefs will force the Steelers to be aggressive and benefit Boswell — a high-end K2 in Week 16.
Ryan Succop, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Nothing about Sunday went right for Tampa Bay in Week 15. Chris Godwin tore his ACL, Mike Evans and Leonard Fournette hurt their hamstrings, and they were shut out 9-0 to the Saints as they completed the regular-season sweep of Brady and the Bucs for the second-straight year.
This offense is about to change completely, which might not be an awful thing for Ryan Succop. Despite the Buccaneers sitting first in points, Succop is only 22nd in field-goal attempts as, more times than not, Tampa Bay is scoring touchdowns and not settling for 3 points. We could see this begin to take effect in Week 16 as they face the Carolina Panthers. Succop has top-five K upside for fantasy.
