As fantasy football managers finalize lineups for Week 15, what are the latest updates surrounding WRs on the injury report?

While rankings and projections are beneficial, few things are more important in fantasy football than following injury updates. Injuries not only impact the player in question but the teammates and the offenses around them. Here’s an update on some critical WR injury reports to watch and their fantasy football impact.

For more injury news on players like Javonte Williams, Michael Carter, and Josh Allen, make sure to check out our Week 15 RB Injury Report and QB/TE Injury Report.

Week 15 Fantasy Football WR Injury Report | AFC

How are the fantasy-relevant wide receivers dealing with injuries? Let’s see which pass catchers may require a Plan B for Week 15’s action.

    Marquise Brown, Baltimore Ravens

It looks like fantasy managers will not have to say goodbye to Hollywood this week. Marquise Brown participated in Friday’s walkthrough after missing Thursday’s practice with an illness. He’s listed as questionable. Adam Schefter tweeted out that Hollywood is expected to play.

    Update: Brown is active

    Emmanuel Sanders, Buffalo Bills

Emmanuel Sanders did not practice all week with a knee injury. The team listed him as doubtful because, evidently, the Bills like to play games. Despite not being officially ruled out, there’s no chance Sanders plays this week. Gabriel Davis will start in three-receiver sets.

    Tee Higgins, Cincinnati Bengals

Tee Higgins practiced in full Thursday and Friday. His ankle is good to go, and he will play Sunday.

    Jarvis Landry, Cleveland Browns

Jarvis Landry remains on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Given his positive test occurred last Monday, there is a chance he could get cleared by Monday.

Week 15 Fantasy Football WR Injury Report | NFC

Which NFC wide receivers currently sit on the injury report ahead of Week 15? Who is in danger of missing their matchup this week, leaving fantasy managers in a difficult position?

    DeAndre Hopkins, Arizona Cardinals

DeAndre Hopkins underwent surgery to repair a torn MCL. He is now on the injured reserve, and his regular season is over. This will be the last update on Hopkins this year. Hopefully, he is able to return if the Cardinals advance deep into the playoffs.

    DJ Moore, Carolina Panthers

DJ Moore was limited at practice all three days and is listed as questionable due to his hamstring tweak. Given that Moore participated all three days, there was always some optimism that he would play. On Sunday morning, Ian Rapoport reported that Moore is expected to suit up according to a source.

    Update: DJ Moore is active.

    Cedrick Wilson, Dallas Cowboys

It’s rare to get some good COVID news these days, but Cedrick Wilson falls into that category. He recorded a second negative test on Friday and returned to practice. Wilson will play Sunday.

    Josh Reynolds, Detroit Lions

Josh Reynolds was not on Wednesday’s injury report but got in limited sessions Thursday and Friday with a thigh issue.

It doesn’t sound overly serious, but we never take midweek downgrades lightly. Reynolds is listed as questionable. He should play, but it’s far from certain right now.

    Update: Reynolds is active.

    Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Green Bay Packers

Marquez Valdes-Scantling got in limited practices all three days this week. He’s dealing with a back injury and is listed as questionable. I would expect him to play, but check pregame inactives to be sure.

Odell Beckham Jr., Los Angeles Rams

On Friday, Odell Beckham Jr. tweeted out “negative” with a smiley face emoji. On Saturday, he cleared COVID protocols and will play Tuesday.

    Adam Thielen, Minnesota Vikings

Adam Thielen did not practice all week as he deals with a high ankle sprain. Head coach Mike Zimmer declined to rule Thielen out, listing him as questionable, but he is not expected to play.

    Lil’Jordan Humphrey, New Orleans Saints

Lil’Jordan Humphrey was limited at practice all week with a hamstring strain. He is listed as questionable.

Sterling Shepard and Kadarius Toney, New York Giants

Sterling Shepard finally returned to action last week but is back on the injury report with a calf issue. He is listed as questionable. Kadarius Toney tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week and remains out. He would need to record a negative test to return, which has not occurred yet.

    Update: Shepard is active.

Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf, Seattle Seahawks

DK Metcalf returned to a full practice Friday. He sat out the previous two practices due to foot and back issues. Metcalf carries no injury designation and will play Tuesday.

Tyler Lockett, meanwhile, remains on the reserve/COVID-19 list. He was still experiencing symptoms as late as Thursday, which makes it unlikely he will be able to play even with the game being moved to Tuesday. Freddie Swain and D’Wayne Eskridge will play in three-receiver sets if Lockett does not play.

Terry McLaurin and Curtis Samuel, Washington Football Team

Terry McLaurin got in a full practice Saturday as he works his way through the concussion protocol. Head coach Ron Rivera is highly optimistic McLaurin can play. Now with an extra two days to recover, McLaurin seems likely to clear the protocol prior to this week’s game.

Curtis Samuel’s groin appears to be fine, but he’s now dealing with a hamstring strain he evidently picked up last week. He was initially ruled out before the game was moved, changing the injury report timeline. The team will not have to set an official designation on Samuel until Monday but do not expect him to play.
