Roster management is the single most crucial in-season task for fantasy football managers. Just as important as adding the right players is knowing when players need to go. Which players find themselves on our Week 15 fantasy football cut list?
Fantasy Week 15 Cut List | Quarterbacks
Let’s go position by position and pinpoint players that no longer need to be on your fantasy roster. Which fantasy quarterbacks are on the Week 15 cut list?
Derek Carr, Las Vegas Raiders
I’m sorry. I let you all down again with Derek Carr. My recommendation to start Carr backfired for a second consecutive week. It is time to accept the reality that Carr just isn’t particularly good.
Despite negative game script and 45 pass attempts, Carr managed just 11.52 fantasy points last week. It marked his third mid-QB2-or-worse game out of his last four. With the Browns and Broncos on tap the next two weeks, you’re not starting Carr, so you can drop him.
Running Backs
Which fantasy RBs should be cut heading into Week 15? There’s plenty of dead weight at the position.
Jeff Wilson Jr., San Francisco 49ers
Every time Elijah Mitchell is out, fantasy managers wonder who the lead back will be in San Francisco. Each and every time, I confidently say “Jeff Wilson Jr.” It’s always been Wilson. It just hasn’t mattered.
Wilson has had three games with 10 or more carries. In those games, his highest-scoring fantasy total was 6.8 PPR points. Mitchell will get his job back as soon as he’s cleared to return, but even if he misses another week, Wilson has proven untrustworthy as a starter. You can cut him.
Week 15 Fantasy Football Cut List | Wide Receivers
Which fantasy wide receivers are on the Week 15 cut list? Several veterans highlight the list.
Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Tennessee Titans
Nick Westbrook-Ikhine was a worthwhile pickup two weeks ago based on the Titans’ void at wide receiver. Julio Jones returned in Week 14, and Westbrook-Ikhine saw just 3 targets.
Although Westbrook-Ikhine played 73% of the snaps, his 7-catch, 107-yard game in Week 11 looks like a total outlier. I don’t foresee any consistently usable value for him going forward. With A.J. Brown’s return looming, Westbrook-Ikhine is droppable.
Emmanuel Sanders, Buffalo Bills
After not producing for two months, Emmanuel Sanders added injury to insult. Sanders hurt his knee and is expected to miss this week’s contest. Regardless of Sanders’ health, he’d be on the cut list.
Sanders has recorded between 22 and 28 receiving yards in five consecutive games. The guy who was the clear WR2 early in the season is long gone, and he’s never coming back. Sanders should be gone from your fantasy team as well.
Kenny Golladay, New York Giants
Another week, another single-digit fantasy output for Kenny Golladay. It doesn’t matter whether it’s Daniel Jones or Mike Glennon at quarterback. It doesn’t matter whether Sterling Shepard or Kadarius Toney play. Golladay does not produce.
Since returning from injury, Golladay’s best fantasy day has been 8 PPR fantasy points. That does nothing for you. Cut him.
Allen Robinson, Chicago Bears
At this point, I’m going to assume Allen Robinson only remains on so many rosters because those who drafted him have long since been eliminated and stopped managing their teams. It’s the only explanation I’ve got that makes sense.
Robinson returned from a three-game absence to record 2 receptions for 14 yards on 6 targets. It’s par for the course for ARob this season. He has just two games over 10 fantasy points. If you are still rostering him, please rectify that this week.
Courtland Sutton, Denver Broncos
For the second consecutive week, I’m forced to include my beloved Courtland Sutton on the cut list. Sutton is super talented, but the Broncos do not call pass plays. When they do throw the ball, it’s not to Sutton.
Over his past seven games, Sutton is averaging 2.7 targets per game. That is just completely unfathomable. Even more so, it’s nowhere near starter-worthy for your fantasy roster. Let the talented alpha WR go.
