Fantasy RB Injury Report Week 13: Dalvin Cook, D’Andre Swift, and Melvin Gordon injury updates

With a slew of injuries around the league, let's look at the Week 13 fantasy football RB injury report for updates before setting lineups.

Once again, the fantasy football gods are apparently angry with us, as we suffered a rash of injuries to star running backs last week just as we’re preparing for the fantasy playoffs. Let’s take a look at the fantasy RB injury report for updates before Week 13.

Week 13 Fantasy Football RB Injury Report | AFC

The AFC has had its fair share of injuries at the running back position this year. However, the injury report is oddly light in the conference this week.

    Josh Jacobs, Las Vegas Raiders

Update 12/05/2021: Ian Rapoport reported that Jacobs is expected to play, barring a setback.

Josh Jacobs is listed as questionable with an ankle injury that saw him pop up on the injury report midweek. It doesn’t sound like there is much concern that he’ll miss this week, but we’ll monitor it over the weekend.

    James Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars

James Robinson is officially questionable with the same heel/knee designation that he’s been battling for a few weeks, but it seems as though he will play through it.

    Melvin Gordon, Denver Broncos

On Saturday afternoon, Melvin Gordon was officially ruled out for Week 13 with a hip injury. Those rostering Gordon can (somewhat) rejoice over the closure, as you can now plan your lineups accordingly.

Javonte Williams is in line to get his first career start. His production surely could impact his role going forward.

Week 13 Fantasy Football RB Injury Update | NFC

The NFC is hurting right now at the running back position, including injuries to some of the game’s brightest stars. Let’s take a look around the conference.

    Dalvin Cook, Minnesota Vikings

Dalvin Cook is out this week (and likely next week as well) with a torn labrum in his shoulder. Alexander Mattison will get the start in his place this week against the Lions.

    D’Andre Swift, Detroit Lions

On the other side of the ball in the same game as Cook, D’Andre Swift is also out with a shoulder injury. Jamaal Williams should see the lion’s share of carries for Detroit.

    Jordan Howard, Philadelphia Eagles

Jordan Howard, who has carved out a nice role in the newly run-heavy Eagles offense, is out with a knee injury this week.

Miles Sanders was not on the injury report on Friday and is ready to go as the lead back for the Eagles in Week 13.

    J.D. McKissic, Washington Football Team

J.D. McKissic, who suffered a concussion in Week 12, is out this week for Washington. Rumblings are that Wendell Smallwood will take over as the pass-catching back.

    Darrell Henderson, Los Angeles Rams

Update 12/5/2021: Darrell Henderson is expected to be active, but is not expected to be the primary back.

Darrell Henderson is listed as questionable, and it seems like it’s a true 50/50 as to whether or not he plays. He was held out of practice twice this week, getting in a limited session on Friday. Sony Michel would be the next man up.

Update 12/05/2021: On Sunday morning, there were conflicting reports as to Henderson’s status. Ian Rapoport reported that he was hopeful to play, even if it meant a reduced workload. However, Adam Schefter reported that while the team will allow Henderson to test the injury in pre game, they are not optimistic.
