Friday Fantasy Football Injury Report: Aaron Rodgers, Kareem Hunt, A.J. Brown injury updates

As Week 12 of the NFL season approaches, be sure to stay updated with the latest injury report before setting your fantasy football lineups.

The unfortunate reality of the NFL is that when players are allowed to go full speed, injuries are bound to happen. Week 11 of the NFL season was no exception. Now that fantasy football managers are updating their lineups for the coming week, several players have found themselves on the injury report, leaving their status for Week 12 up in the air.

Fantasy Football Injury Report: QB update

Which signal-callers are banged up coming out of Week 11? Who’s availability is in jeopardy for Week 12?

    Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers

Rob Demovsky of ESPN reports Aaron Rodgers (toe) wasn’t in attendance for Thursday’s practice and will be listed as a non-participant on the Packers’ official report.

Rodgers told reporters Tuesday he is playing with a fractured left pinky toe for both of the Packers’ last two games.

    Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers

According to Brooke Pryor of ESPN, Ben Roethlisberger (pectoral/right shoulder) was a limited participant (LP) for the second straight day on Thursday.

    RB update

How is the injury bug affecting RB committees heading into Week 12? Will fantasy managers need to make backup plans just in case?

    Cordarrelle Patterson, Atlanta Falcons

Scott Bair of the Falcons’ official site reports Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle) was an LP in Thursday’s practice. Patterson was limited on Wednesday as well after missing Week 11.

    Kareem Hunt, Cleveland Browns

Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports Kareem Hunt (calf) expects the Browns to activate him from injured reserve and he’ll play in Sunday’s game against the Ravens. Hunt was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday, which opened up a 21-day window to activate him to the 53-man roster.

    Aaron Jones, Green Bay Packers

According to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, Aaron Jones (knee) was an LP on Thursday’s injury report.

On Wednesday, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur told Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers’ official site they will “take it a day at a time” as Jones recovers from an MCL sprain he suffered Week 10 against the Seahawks, which forced him to miss last week’s game.

    Saquon Barkley, New York Giants

Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports Saquon Barkley (ankle) was limited at Wednesday’s walkthrough practice. Barkley returned to action last week but saw a reduced workload as the team ramps his activity back up.

    Michael Carter, New York Jets

Ethan B. Greenberg of the Jets’ official site reported on Monday [November 22] head coach Robert Saleh confirmed that Michael Carter would miss “a couple of weeks” after he suffered a low-grade ankle sprain. Ty Johnson and Tevin Coleman will work in tandem out of the backfield for the Jets.

    Jordan Howard, Philadelphia Eagles

Per the Eagles’ practice report, Jordan Howard (knee) did not participate in Thursday’s practice and is doubtful for Week 11.

    Elijah Mitchell, San Francisco 49ers

Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports Elijah Mitchell (rib/finger) was an LP on Thursday’s practice report. Furthermore, Mitchell was an LP on Wednesday after missing last week’s game due to surgery to repair his finger.

Fantasy Football Injury Report: WR Injury Update

News for pass catchers is essential in PPR leagues. These are the fantasy-relevant WRs currently on the NFL’s Week 12 injury report.

    Jarvis Landry, Cleveland Browns

Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports Jarvis Landry (knee) was an LP on Thursday’s injury report.

    Allen Lazard, Green Bay Packers

Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports Allen Lazard (shoulder) was an LP on Thursday’s injury report. Lazard missed Week 11 but has been an LP in both sessions this week.

    Sterling Shepard, New York Giants

Per the team’s practice report, Sterling Shepard (quadriceps) was a non-participant on Thursday’s injury report. Shepard has battled injuries all season, playing in just two games since Week 4.

    Kadarius Toney, New York Giants

Kadarius Toney (quadriceps) was a non-participant on Thursday’s injury report. Toney sustained a bruised quad in Week 11 against the Buccaneers but has yet to practice.

    Corey Davis, New York Jets

Brian Costello of the New York Post reports Corey Davis (groin) was listed as a non-participant on Thursday’s practice report. Davis was listed as an LP but heads into the weekend doubtful and is trending in the wrong direction.

    Ray-Ray McCloud, Pittsburgh Steelers

Teresa Varley of the Steelers’ official site reports the Steelers placed Ray-Ray McCloud (illness) on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday.

    Antonio Brown, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports Antonio Brown (ankle) was a non-participant in Thursday’s practice and is doubtful for Week 12 against the Indianapolis Colts. Brown has not participated since injuring his ankle in Week 7.

    Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Stroud also reported Mike Evans (back) wasn’t present for the open portion of Thursday’s practice. Evans also was a non-participant during Wednesday’s walkthrough practice due to back tightness.

    A.J. Brown, Tennessee Titans

Jim Wyatt of the Titans’ official site reports A.J. Brown (chest) was a non-participant on Thursday’s practice estimate.

Brown left Week 11 early due to a chest injury and has yet to practice this week. With Julio Jones and Marcus Johnson on the IR, the Titans could enter Week 12 with Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Chester Rogers, and Dez Fitzpatrick as their top receivers.

    TE Injury Update

Which tight end injuries should we be mindful of when setting our Week 12 fantasy lineups? Who is in danger of missing their next game?

    Hunter Henry, New England Patriots

Hunter Henry (neck) was an LP at Thursday’s practice. As of now, there does not seem to be any fear Henry will miss Week 12.

    Geoff Swaim, Tennessee Titans

After missing Week 11, Geoff Swaim was a non-participant Thursday as he remains in the NFL’s concussion protocol. Swaim fully participated in Wednesday’s practice but took a step back Thursday.

    Logan Thomas, Washington Football Team

On Wednesday, the Washington Football Team designated Logan Thomas (hamstring) to return from the IR. Thomas has been working on the side for the last two weeks and has seemed close to returning, but the team was reluctant to open the 21-day window before necessary. Nonetheless, Washington may activate Thomas ahead of their Monday Night Football game against the Seattle Seahawks.

    Ricky Seals-Jones, Washington Football Team

Ricky Seals-Jones (hip) was a non-participant on Thursday’s practice report. It appears Thomas is ahead of Seals-Jones in terms of health, but neither is a guarantee to play on Monday. Should both players miss, John Bates would handle No. 1 responsibilities.
