Week 11 is upon us, and with it are a slew of injuries to go through. The running back position is no stranger to health question marks this year, and there are some key fantasy football injury updates to be aware of for this week. Who’s in, and who’s out?
Fantasy Football RB Injury Update | NFC
Some of the biggest running back names in football reside in the NFC, and some of the biggest injuries of the year have been in this conference. What names do we need to be aware of heading into the weekend?
Saquon Barkley, New York Giants
Saquon Barkley was a limited participant in practice on Thursday and Friday, and he seems to be on track to make his return on Monday Night Football against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Giants will practice on Saturday, which will shed more light on Barkley’s status.
Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saints
Alvin Kamara is officially out with a knee injury, as are starting tackles Ryan Ramczyk and Terron Armstead. Mark Ingram will be in line for the start in what might be a tough day for the Saints’ offense.
Chris Carson, Seattle Seahawks
Seahawks running back Chris Carson, who has been out since Week 5 with a neck injury, will undergo season-ending surgery. Alex Collins looks to be the starting running back for Seattle for the rest of the season.
Aaron Jones, Green Bay Packers
As expected, Aaron Jones is out for Week 11 with an MCL sprain. His status will be one to watch throughout the preparation for Week 12.
Elijah Mitchell, San Francisco 49ers
Elijah Mitchell popped up with a finger injury that required surgery during the week and is listed as doubtful for Week 11. The 49ers should feature Jeff Wilson Jr. out of the backfield.
Fantasy Football RB Injury Update | AFC
There are some big names in the AFC battling injuries. Let’s look through the injury reports ahead of the weekend.
Nick Chubb, Cleveland Browns
Nick Chubb makes his return in Week 11 after clearing COVID-19 protocols. He will step right back into his lead running back role, and he’s a must-start against Detroit.
Jeremy McNichols, Tennessee Titans
Jeremy McNichols is one of a slew of Titans slated to be out on Sunday. This leaves the backfield duties to Adrian Peterson and D’Onta Foreman for Week 11.
With Julio Jones already on injured reserve, Tennessee will be hurting for offensive weapons against the Texans.
James Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars
James Robinson is questionable with a heel injury, but he played through it and performed well last week. He should be in line for his bell-cow role once again.
Latavius Murray, Baltimore Ravens
Latavius Murray is listed as questionable after missing the last four weeks. He was a limited participant all week and looks likely to play.
