The running back position is no stranger to injuries, as fantasy football managers have been coping without some of the biggest stars this year. That trend appears to be continuing into Week 10, but there are plenty of question marks to get through. Let’s update the Week 10 running back injury report and try to make sense of it all for fantasy managers.
Fantasy Football RB Injury Report | AFC
We’ll start in the AFC, where several of the biggest names in fantasy football have been on the injury report this week. Nick Chubb headlines the AFC RBs dealing with key injuries.
Nick Chubb, Cleveland Browns
Chubb was placed in the COVID-19 protocol earlier this week, and it was announced today that he will not play in Week 10. With Kareem Hunt yet to return, Cleveland will be relying on D’Ernest Johnson once again.
Damien Harris, New England Patriots
Damien Harris, the lead running back for the Patriots, still has not cleared the concussion protocol. He was ruled out on Saturday afternoon.
Rhamondre Stevenson, New England Patriots
Rhamondre Stevenson, who would be the next man up behind Harris, is also in the concussion protocol but does look likely to play on Sunday.
If Stevenson has any setback, the Patriots will be leaning on Brandon Bolden and J.J. Taylor, and perhaps with a sprinkling of Jonnu Smith mixed into the run game as well.
Zack Moss, Buffalo Bills
Zack Moss has yet to clear the concussion protocol, which is not a good sign for his playing status. That said, he was at least able to practice in a non-contact jersey on a limited basis on Thursday. There’s a chance he’ll be cleared heading into the game.
Najee Harris, Pittsburgh Steelers
Finally, some good news. Najee Harris is off the injury report and was at practice on Friday, putting him in line to start against the Detroit Lions in a smash spot with high-end RB1 upside.
Fantasy Football RB Injury Report | NFC
Now for the NFC, where the list is shorter but the names are equally as important. Let’s look at a few stars from the NFC that are on the injury report.
Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saints
Alvin Kamara has officially been ruled out for Sunday, putting “old face in a familiar place” Mark Ingram in line to see a bulk of the carries for the Saints.
With Trevor Siemian under center, expect a large workload for Ingram in Week 10.
Antonio Gibson, Washington Football Team
Antonio Gibson was limited at practice while he continues to deal with the shin injury that has plagued him most of the season. He should play in Week 10 as long as he can tolerate the pain.
Chris Carson, Seattle Seahawks
Chris Carson said that he wanted to be ready for the Week 10 matchup with the Green Bay Packers, but it looks like he wasn’t quite able to get there with his neck injury. Carson is out for Week 10.
