Fantasy Football RB Injury Report | AFC

Who’s in, who’s out, and who’s in question for Sunday? The AFC has their fair share of injuries at the RB position, most notably with this year’s overall RB1 through the first half of the season.

    Derrick Henry, Tennessee Titans

The Titans placed Derrick Henry on injured reserve with the foot injury he sustained during Week 8. Indeed, he’s almost guaranteed to miss the remainder of the fantasy football season. As a result, the Titans signed Adrian Peterson to factor into the backfield in his place.

    Latavius Murray, Baltimore Ravens

Latavius Murray is listed as questionable for Week 9 with an ankle injury. He missed Week 7 and, coming out of Baltimore’s Week 8 bye, Murray isn’t quite ready to go.

    James Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars

Jacksonville Jaguars running back James Robinson is currently listed as questionable with a heel injury. If he’s unable to play, Carlos Hyde would handle the workload in his stead.

Robinson missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday. However, he was able to get in a limited practice on Friday. He is very much a question mark heading into the weekend.

    Josh Jacobs, Las Vegas Raiders

Josh Jacobs sustained a chest injury prior to the Raiders’ Week 8 bye. Nonetheless, he is not listed on the final injury report of Week 9 and is good to go for Las Vegas’ matchup with the New York Giants.

Week 9 Fantasy RB Injury Update | NFC

The NFC has a few big-name running back injuries worth noting. Which running backs look poised to make their return to action this week, and which backs will miss time?

    Christian McCaffrey, Carolina Panthers

After missing the last five games, Christian McCaffrey is hopeful that he’ll be able to return for Week 9. According to head coach Matt Rhule, if McCaffrey does make his return, it will be on a limited snap count. We should know more on Saturday.

    Saquon Barkley, New York Giants

Saquon Barkley is out for Week 9 as he continues to nurse an ankle injury. Earlier in the week, it was reported that Barkley had tested positive for COVID-19.

As it turns out, it was a false positive and he cleared protocol, but the ankle injury will sideline him for at least another week.

    Elijah Mitchell, San Francisco 49ers

Elijah Mitchell, the lead running back for the 49ers, is questionable with a rib injury. He was limited during the last two practices but is trending towards playing on Sunday.

    Jeff Wilson, San Francisco 49ers

Jeff Wilson could be activated from the physically unable to perform list after working to rehab his knee injury, but he hasn’t returned to the active roster yet. If he’s activated, expect him to have a limited workload in his first game back.
