Week 6 Kicker Streamers
Here are a few kickers to consider streaming in your Week 6 lineups.
Evan McPherson, Cincinnati Bengals (@ DET)
I recommended Evan McPherson back when the Bengals played the Jaguars in Week 4 on Thursday night in a similar situation, and he let us down. Nevertheless, we need to have short memories and not overreact when good process produces bad results.
McPherson once again fits the process in Week 6. The Bengals are 3-point road favorites in Detroit, and the Lions play in a dome, so the weather is not an issue. Joe Burrow and Co. should find themselves in scoring position several times throughout the game, creating opportunities for McPherson. He is an excellent Week 6 kicker streamer.
Jason Sanders, Miami Dolphins (@ JAX)
Last year, Jason Sanders was the second-best kicker in all of fantasy. He’s still good at kicking footballs; he just hasn’t had the opportunity as the Dolphins’ offense has floundered.
The good news is that Tua Tagovailoa is expected to return this week against a soft Jaguars defense. The Jaguars allow 2.2 field goal attempts per game and 30.4 points per game to opponents.
This game is in London, where the weather is not expected to be an issue, and the Dolphins are 3-point favorites. Sanders is one of the best kicker streams in Week 6.
Greg Joseph, Minnesota Vikings (@ CAR)
The process with Greg Joseph isn’t perfect. The Vikings are road underdogs in Carolina. Fortunately, they aren’t heavy underdogs, with a spread of just 1.5 points. This game should be competitive, and no weather issues are expected.
I must disclose that the Panthers allow the fewest field goal attempts per game at just 0.8. However, they also opened the season with three weak opponents that didn’t have the luxury of kicking field goals as they tried to recover from early deficits.
This week’s matchup with the Vikings is unlikely to be lopsided in either direction. We like competitive games because it keeps the field goal on the table. Joseph attempted 5 field goals last week and has attempted at least 3 in three of five games. I prefer Sanders and McPherson, but if they’re both taken, Joseph is a fine kicker to stream in Week 6.
