The NFL Draft is a yearlong event nowadays. As the drama of the 2021 event comes to a close, it won’t be long until attention shifts towards 2022. There are many details still to be announced, but the event is already beginning to take shape. What is the location of the 2022 NFL Draft, and which city will be hosting it? When will your team be selecting the players guaranteed to take them to a Super Bowl? Here’s what we know so far.

When is the 2022 NFL Draft?

The NFL hasn’t released dates for the 2022 NFL Draft yet. The expectation is that it will take place over three days beginning in late April, as has been the case for most of the drafts since it changed to its current format.

As usual, Round 1 is expected to take place on Thursday, Rounds 2 and 3 on Friday, and Rounds 4-7 on Saturday.

Where is the 2022 NFL Draft being held?

The 2022 NFL Draft is scheduled to be held on the Las Vegas strip, which technically sits in Paradise, Nevada. This will be marketed as Las Vegas, though. The 2020 NFL Draft was originally scheduled to be held in Las Vegas. However, due to social distancing, the league decided to conduct that event virtually. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell then announced that Las Vegas would host the 2022 NFL Draft instead.

The exact details for the 2022 NFL Draft location have yet to be announced. In 2020, the plan was for the main stage to be set up next to Caesars Forum, a conference center owned by Caesars Entertainment, the company behind Caesars Palace.

How can I attend the 2022 NFL Draft?

Websites such as NFL On Location, the official hospitality partner of the NFL, are already advertising ticket packages, although tickets are not currently on sale. Fans who don’t secure tickets to the draft will still be able to travel and soak up the experience, even if Roger Goodell might not be able to hear your booing.

Pro Football Network will be on the ground providing inside information, updates, and wall-to-wall coverage. We will provide more information about how you can get the most out of the 2022 NFL Draft experience.

Who are the top players in the 2022 NFL Draft?

There’s a lot of football to be played in the next year. We’ve also seen in recent years how much one season can impact a player’s draft stock. Both Joe Burrow and Kyler Murray, first overall picks in 2019 and 2020, were afterthoughts a year before the draft.

PFN Draft Analyst Oliver Hodgkinson recently completed an early 2022 NFL Mock Draft. In it, he had North Carolina QB Sam Howell going to the Detroit Lions with the first overall pick. The Jacksonville Jaguars then select Oregon defensive lineman Kayvon Thibodeaux second overall. The Houston Texans round out the top three picks with the selection of Cincinnati quarterback Desmond Ridder.

The other quarterbacks currently expected to be in the conversation at the top are Kedon Slovis of USC, Spencer Rattler of Oklahoma, and Malik Willis of Liberty.
