Continue to follow Pro Football Network’s coverage of the NFL Draft with Chief Draft Analyst and NFL Insider Tony Pauline. When looking at Pauline’s 2021 prospect rankings, there are 26 players who received firm first-round grades. Then there are an additional eight with first/second-round grades. Following a handful of surprising first-round selections, a number of talented players remain available heading into Day 2.

This idea also assumes that every team follows Pauline’s big board. Still, not every position benefits from this. The 2021 wide receiver class is a great example. While Ja’Marr Chase, DeVonta Smith, Jaylen Waddle, and Rashod Bateman seemed to be shoe-ins for the first round, the same cannot be said for guys like Rondale Moore or Kadarius Toney who sat in that first/second-round projection area. Toney wound up being selected ahead of Bateman, and there are some intriguing names still available at the wide receiver position heading into Day

The running back and quarterback classes are fascinatingly poised heading into Day 2 of the 2021 NFL Draft. Both Alabama RB Najee Harris and Clemson RB Travis Etienne were selected on Day 1. However, we could see a handful more running backs come off the board on Day 2. The quarterback position saw five players selected in the first 15 picks. That was the end of the position on Day 1, and there are three names to watch on Day 2 in Kellen Mond, Davis Mills, and Kyle Trask.

Whatever the case, playmakers will come off the board on Day 2. Be sure to have your schedule ready as Day 3 has a start time of 12 PM ET on Saturday, May 1.
