MSN Slideshow 8 Players With the Most Pro Bowl Selections In San Francisco 49ers History By Pro Football Network FacebookTwitterReddItFlipLinkedinEmail January 28, 2025 | 11:00 AM EST Share FacebookTwitterReddItFlipLinkedinEmail 1 of 8 Dave Wilcox was one of the greatest linebackers of his era. Wilcox played 11 years of pro football, all for the San Francisco 49ers, who selected him in the 3rd round of the 1964 NFL draft. He was named to four All-Pro teams (two First Team and two Second Team selections) and had 7 Pro Bowl selections to his name. Wilcox was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2000. Steve Young played 13 seasons for the San Francisco 49ers and was a member of three of their Super Bowl winning rosters. Young took over as the team's starter after Joe Montana was phased out, winning 2 MVP trophies and a Super Bowl MVP in 1994. The GOAT dual threat quarterback had six All-Pro selections (three First Team, three Second Team) and seven Pro Bowl nominations during his illustrious career. There may have been better quarterbacks in NFL history, but none nearly as clutch as "Joe Cool". Joe Montana quarterbacked for four of the 49ers' five Super Bowl wins, throwing 122 passes without recording an interception. Montana won back-to-back MVP trophies in 1989 and 1990, added five All-Pro selections including three to the first team, and had eight Pro Bowl nominations. Seven of those came during his 12-year 49ers tenure. Patrick Willis was a true hard-hitter in the spirit of Dick Butkus and Jack Lambert. The 49ers legend earned First Team All-Pro honors as a rookie, in addition to winning Defensive Rookie of the Year. Willis made 7 All-Pro teams, including 6 First Team selections, and 7 Pro Bowl teams during his tragically short-lived NFL career. Kyle Juszczyk is the NFL's preeminent fullback of the modern era. Juszczyk was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in 2013 and joined the San Francisco 49ers as a free agent in 2017. Since that year, Juszczyk has been given a Pro Bowl nomination for 8 straight seasons with the Niners. Juszczyk can also play at the tight end position when required. Ronnie Lott is one of the faces of passion among pro footballers. After a college career during which he earned a perfect 10.0 prospect grade, Lott featured in four of the San Francisco 49ers Super Bowl wins. Through 14 seasons of playing pro football, Lott earned 8 First Team All-Pro selections, led the league in interceptions twice and earned 10 Pro Bowl nominations. Lott famously had his pinky amputated smack in the middle of his pro career. Leo Nomellini played 14 years of pro football, all of them for the San Francisco 49ers. During this period, he earned 10 Pro Bowl invitations and nine All-Pro selections, including 6 to the first team. Drafted as a two-way tackle, Nomellini finished his career out as a defensive tackle. Jerry Rice is the only skill position player with a legitimate GOAT case. Rice was LeBron before LeBron's longevity was a thing - 20 seasons as a wide receiver could be the most impressive longevity feat in sports. Rice holds every career receiving record for the NFL and for the 49ers. He has a whopping 10 First Team All-Pro selections and 12 Pro Bowl nominations to his name.
