49ers vs. Cowboys DraftKings DFS Picks: Top lineup includes Dak Prescott, Deebo Samuel, and Amari Cooper

Are you setting DraftKings lineups for the 49ers vs. Cowboys playoff game? Here are our favorite 49ers-Cowboys DFS picks.

If you’re competing in a DFS tournament or 50/50 competition for the Sunday single-game slate between the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers, then you’ve come to the right place. We’ve run through dozens of potential game scripts to arrive at the most likely scenarios and how these scenarios would impact fantasy football performances. Here are our top NFL DFS picks for the Cowboys vs. the 49ers, based on DraftKings pricing.

This lineup assumes the Cowboys’ passing game clicks, focusing on a previously disgruntled receiver. It also assumes San Francisco’s defense contains Dallas’ running game enough to stall some drives and open the door for multiple Cowboys field goals.

Dak Prescott, QB, Dallas Cowboys ($15,900)

When you underestimate Dak Prescott, he knows. Last season, he was on a record-setting fantasy QB pace before getting knocked out for the year in Week 5. in 2021, he missed time with a calf injury and has had his share of bumps, including a five-game stretch from Weeks 11-15 when he had a combined 5 touchdowns and 7 turnovers. But four of those five games were on the road. At home, he’s been simply electric this season: 24 TDs and 5 turnovers. Trust Prescott as an elite QB today and place him in your captain spot.

Amari Cooper, WR, Dallas Cowboys ($7,200)

Some DFS plays are meant to be safe. Others are more boom-or-bust. Amari Cooper has built a career on boom-or-bust performances. He’s had 10 or fewer receiving yards in a whopping 16 career starts. And he’s gone over 100 yards 25 times — and over 200 yards three times.

If you’re playing to hedge, don’t start Cooper. If you’re playing to win, his upside is as good as anyone.

Greg Zuerlein, K, Dallas Cowboys ($4,400)

Kickers sometimes break through in fantasy, and of course, the same is true in DFS. Greg Zuerlein has hit 10+ DFS fantasy points nine times this season, including four times in his last six games. The advantage of inserting him into our lineup is that he can outproduce expectations if the volume is there. His 82.9% accuracy on field-goal attempts is not a selling point. But his role in a high-scoring offense is.

This portion of our DFS lineup assumes San Francisco’s most dynamic player shines. It also assumes the Niners can break through Dallas’ defense through the air, helping feed three of their top four receivers.

Deebo Samuel, WR, San Francisco 49ers ($11,200)

The most compelling statistics tell a story. Deebo Samuel’s touchdowns could fill a novel. Of his 14 scores, 4 have been 10 yards or less, 4 more started from 11-20 yards away, and 2 came from 25 and 27 yards out. He had a pair of TDs come from 40 and 45 yards out. His longest touchdowns were 76- and 79-yarders. This is Deebo in a nutshell. He can score from anywhere on the field, at any time, conceivably against any opponent.

Brandon Aiyuk, WR, San Francisco 49ers ($6,400)

Much of this lineup is designed to avoid the $8,000 Elijah Mitchell. The Cowboys are yielding the fourth-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing backfields. As incredible as the 23-year-old Mitchell has been, his sporadic usage in the passing game makes him a little more TD-dependent than we’d like from a high-priced DFS option.

That’s where Brandon Aiyuk comes in. A consistent top-three receiver this season for the Niners, Aiyuk has elevated his game since Week 9. During this stretch, he’s racked up 90+ yards and/or a touchdown in seven out of 10 contests (after not hitting either mark in any of his first seven contests). Aiyuk has boom potential if Jimmy Garoppolo is clicking.

Jauan Jennings, WR, San Francisco 49ers ($4,800)

“Where’s George Kittle?” you might be asking. The answer is, if we start the $7,400 Kittle, we’d probably need to ditch Aiyuk and downgrade Jauan Jennings to a 3-5 point DFS dart throw. Jennings is a nice pairing with Aiyuk because if the Niners’ passing game is functioning, both should outperform expectations. Jennings is an ascending talent in this offense with 5+ targets in four of his last five games.
