49ers Star Turns Heads By Recruiting $94 Million All-Pro to San Francisco

Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby has voiced frustrations with his team’s lack of success on multiple occasions. Since joining the Raiders via the No. 106 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, Crosby has put up 59.5 sacks, 366 tackles (105 for loss), 23 passes defensed, and 144 quarterback hits. Meanwhile, during that span, Las Vegas has finished at or near the bottom of the league with a 43-57 record.

San Francisco 49ers star cornerback Deommodore Lenoir posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, essentially recruiting the disgruntled Crosby to the 49ers.

49ers’ Deommodore Lenoir Recruits Las Vegas Raiders DE Maxx Crosby

“Max Crosby would look crazy in a Niners Jersey,” Lenoir posted on X.

Niners fans were giddy with excitement at the prospect of Crosby joining their team.

“Call Lynch’s cell and tell him to get it done,” one fan commented.

“Bidding starts at 3 1st round picks,” replied another.

Crosby’s Contractually Tied to Raiders for Next 2 Seasons

Crosby, 27, is currently under contract with Las Vegas through the 2026 season after signing a blockbuster four-year, $98.98 million contract extension in March 2022.

Crosby was a hot commodity ahead of the Nov. 5 trade deadline, with rumors linking him to the Atlanta Falcons and Kansas City Chiefs, but the star pass rusher ultimately stayed in Sin City.

In late December, the four-time Pro Bowler voiced frustrations regarding the state of the Raiders.

“Years of inconsistency, you know what I mean,” Crosby said on “The Rush with Maxx Crosby.” “It’s new coaches every year…There’s been plenty of times when I’ve been like, ‘Damn, this d-line is cold,’ and then I come back, and every single one of them is gone, like, what the f***? It’s just on and on, there’s a lot of things. It’s tough, bro.”

Crosby’s comments led many to wonder if he has played his last snap for the Silver and Black.

“My contract situation, like, I have no more guaranteed money,” said Crosby. “There’s a lot of different things like, obviously, there’s going to be a lot of things that need to be talked about, and I’m looking forward to those conversations… Yeah, it’s going to be awesome. Like, I’m really looking forward to this offseason process.”

Crosby Addresses Trade Rumors on ‘Good Morning Football’

Crosby addressed the trade rumors in a Jan. 17 appearance on NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football.”

“Right now, I am just focusing on my process and day-to-day getting healthy. A lot of things are out of my control. I’m gonna sit back and wait and see what happens. I’m just focused on my rehab right now, and we’ll take it one step at a time.”

“We are going to see what happens with the coaching situation,” Crosby continued. “I have been with the Raiders for six years, and I’m currently under contract. I talked about it before; I have no guaranteed money left. There are a lot of things that need to be discussed. We are going to do that.”

Crosby did shout out the head coach Antonio Pierce and general manager Tom Telesco, both of whom had recently been fired. “They were incredible during my time there.”

That comment certainly sounds like a guy who won’t be in a Raiders uniform in 2025.
