2025 NFL Mock Draft: Surprise Team Nabs Shedeur Sanders, Ashton Jeanty Falls, and Giants Pass on QB

In this post-Super Bowl Round 1 NFL Mock Draft, the first 32 picks are predicted, including a few blockbuster trades.

The NFL season is officially over after the Philadelphia Eagles hoisted the Vince Lombardi Trophy following a dominant Super Bowl 59 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

This means attention will turn to the 2025 NFL Draft, where all eyes will be on the NFL Scouting Combine, scouting reports, and finally draft night! The draft order is from PFSN’s Free NFL Mock Draft Simulator, where you can create your own mock drafts and draft alongside your friends with multi-user draft experience.

With that said, let’s dive into a first-round mock draft.

    1) Tennessee Titans

    Cam Ward, QB, Miami

If there’s one thing the Tennessee Titans shouldn’t do with the No. 1 pick, it’s overthink. Selecting anyone outside of Cam Ward, or maybe Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders, would be seen as a questionable decision.

He’ll be a 23-year-old rookie, but the position boasts longevity sans serious injury. Ward’s age is not a problem. While his ceiling seemingly does not compare to that of former No. 1 picks Caleb Williams or Trevor Lawrence, he has the talent to evolve into a franchise QB.

    2) Cleveland Browns

    Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State

Superstar defensive end Myles Garrett requested a trade not long ago, but that doesn’t mean the Cleveland Browns are going to deal him. Pairing Garrett with a generational talent on the other side of the defensive line in Abdul Carter could do wonders for their defense.

Cleveland would then need to head to free agency or the trade market for a QB Garrett can trust. While this is not the smart route for the Browns, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise if the front office does everything they can to appease its franchise cornerstone.

    3) New York Giants

    Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado

The New York Giants have a plethora of holes on both sides of the ball, so why not kill two birds with one stone? Travis Hunter is one of the most unique prospects and Heisman Trophy winners of this century, performing at a high level on both sides of the ball.

Before the Giants go out and find their franchise QB, it could be a logical route to build up the surrounding pieces first, especially in a weaker class for the position.

    4) New Orleans Saints (Trade With NE)

    Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

Sanders could go off the board just one pick after his teammate — but not to a team he’s expecting. The New Orleans Saints are stuck in the middle of the pack with Derek Carr at the helm, which is why they made a shocking trade for Sanders.

Because the Colorado Buffaloes star lacks polish, he could sit behind Carr for at least half a season. The New England Patriots originally held this pick but likely wouldn’t be afraid to move down a few selections for additional assets down the line.

    5) Jacksonville Jaguars

    Mason Graham, DT, Michigan

There are many reasons the Jacksonville Jaguars’ defense ranked No. 31 in PFSN’s Defense+ metric, but one of the most obvious was their inability to stop the run. Enter 6’3″, 318-pound monster Mason Graham, who can not only help stuff running lanes but also has a respectable set of pass-rushing moves.

While it would be nice to add another weapon for Lawrence, who struggled heavily last season, shoring up the defensive line is higher on the priority list.

    6) Las Vegas Raiders

    Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

If the Las Vegas Raiders end up getting leapfrogged by another team for their dream QB in Sanders, it’s more likely than not they’ll turn away from the offense — that is assuming the front office feels it’s too early to select a running back like Ashton Jeanty here.

Will Johnson is the consensus No. 1 pure cornerback in the class despite a down season in 2024. Las Vegas will need to believe in the 2023 film enough to take him off the board here because the version of Johnson who played for the Michigan Wolverines in 2024 is not worthy of this selection.

    7) Dallas Cowboys (Trade With NYJ)

    Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

Jerry Jones wants to compete for Super Bowls, it’s as simple as that. Of course, there are holes elsewhere on the Dallas Cowboys’ roster, but with Johnson off the board, the temptation to trade up for more offensive firepower could be too much to resist.

McMillan is a strong, physical deep threat who, alongside CeeDee Lamb, could form one of the NFL’s best receiving duos. It’s a simple blueprint for how Cincinnati uses Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.

    8) Carolina Panthers

    Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia

Despite the below-average statistics for the Georgia Bulldogs star, Mykel Williams is a physical specimen, which is what the Carolina Panthers are betting on with this pick. The Panthers’ defense was historically bad in 2024, so adding a dominant talent at one of the most important positions just adds up.

As appealing as it would be for the Panthers to add a reliable weapon for QB Bryce Young, that can be found much easier in later rounds than a physical specimen like Williams.

    9) New England Patriots (Trade With NO)

    Will Campbell, OL, LSU

This is the dream scenario for New England’s front office, as it trades down and still gets the player they were most likely to select at No. 4. With their quarterback of the future, Drake Maye, in place, it’s time to start protecting him.

Some are anticipating Will Campbell may shift to guard once in the NFL, but regardless, he’s an incredibly smart offensive lineman with the mental tools and size to sit near the top of the league for years to come.

    10) Chicago Bears

    Kelvin Banks Jr., OL, Texas

The Chicago Bears go into this selection with a very similar mindset to the Patriots: protect their franchise QB. Williams was the most-sacked quarterback in football last season, and it’s time for that to change.

Adding the 6’4″ athletic lineman is a good place to start, as he’s physically gifted with much experience. Many disagree on how secure Kelvin Banks Jr.’s fundamentals are, leaving him ripe to rise and fall all over draft boards.

    11) San Francisco 49ers

    Armand Membou, OL, Missouri

This selection has very simple reasoning behind it, which is the San Francisco 49ers do not want to feel the pressure of losing both offensive tackles in one offseason. Superstar Trent Williams (36) is likely to retire in the near future, and Colton McKivitz will hit free agency in 2026.

Armand Membou could spend a season learning from one of the best in the business before being relied on as one of San Francisco’s most important offensive pieces.

    12) New York Jets (Trade With DAL)

    Jalon Walker, EDGE, Georgia

Jalon Walker is one of the most diverse defenders in the class, with a proven ability to act as a pass rusher as well as an off-ball linebacker. He could fit nicely across from the New York Jets’ 2023 first-round pick, Will McDonald IV, on one of the best defensive units in the league.

    13) Miami Dolphins

    Tyler Booker, OL, Alabama

If the Miami Dolphins continue trusting in Tua Tagovailoa as their franchise QB, protecting him is the No. 1 priority. Tyler Booker is a huge, 350-pound lineman who offers a ton of physicality, which is why he is often viewed as the top available lineman at this point in the draft.

    14) Indianapolis Colts

    Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

One of the more obvious picks of Round 1 is the Indianapolis Colts adding a weapon for struggling quarterback Anthony Richardson or any competition brought in. Considering their reported desire to land Georgia TE Brock Bowers last season, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if they go after the best available at the position once again, this time landing Penn State Nittany Lions star Tyler Warren.

    15) Atlanta Falcons

    James Pearce Jr., EDGE, Tennessee

The Atlanta Falcons’ offense is loaded with weapons, and they’ve seemingly found the face of their franchise in Michael Penix Jr. This is why their attention turns to defense, where Atlanta’s front office opts for one of the most athletic edge rushers in the class.

James Pearce Jr. was anticipated to be a top-five pick before the season, so getting him at No. 15 could clearly end up as a steal.

    16) Arizona Cardinals

    Shemar Stewart, DL, Texas A&M

The Arizona Cardinals have been stuck in mediocrity for years, meaning a gamble on a versatile defensive lineman is worth it. Shemar Stewart has all of the physical tools to play on the inside or outside of the line, it’s just a matter of whether he’s able to play at the right pace and put it all together in a timely fashion.

    17) Cincinnati Bengals

    Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State

The Cincinnati Bengals seem likely to lose wide receiver Higgins in free agency if they don’t opt to tag him again. This would leave a hole behind triple crown-winning superstar Chase. Emeka Egbuka can slot in behind Chase, and while he lacks the size that Higgins possesses, he’s an all-around threat who can help the Bengals return to the postseason.

    18) Los Angeles Chargers (Trade With SEA)

    Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan

This trade-up should be a surprise to absolutely no one, as head coach Jim Harbaugh pushes to land a Wolverine while acquiring another weapon for QB Justin Herbert. The Los Angeles Chargers, more specifically their offense, crumbled when it mattered most.

This happened partially because Herbert was exclusively looking in the direction of rookie WR Ladd McConkey, which can’t work against the NFL’s best.

    19) Tampa Bay Buccaneers

    Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had one of the NFL’s most electrifying offenses, but their defense was in the middle of the pack, eventually leading to their season-ending playoff loss. Marshall’s Mike Green is arguably the most polished edge rusher in this class, making him perfect for a Buccaneers team looking to contend for a Super Bowl right now.

    20) Denver Broncos

    Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State

It’s unusual to see the Heisman Trophy runner-up Ashton Jeanty fall this low in mock drafts, but it’s almost impossible to find one where the Denver Broncos pass on him. Bringing a dominant force into the backfield alongside youthful QB Bo Nix is ideal because of the attention he can draw.

Whether Jeanty will be able to produce at an All-Pro level out of the gates remains to be seen, but regardless, his presence can help Nix reach his potential.

    21) Pittsburgh Steelers

    Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri

No one is quite sure who will be under center for the Pittsburgh Steelers next season. There’s a plethora of options for the Steelers’ starting job, all of whom will need weapons outside of star WR George Pickens to throw to.

Luther Burden III is not the most physically polarizing receiving threat, but he is a dynamic playmaker capable of creating much separation.

    22) Seattle Seahawks (Trade With LAC)

    Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State

The Seattle Seahawks trade down with the Chargers because of their confidence in landing an offensive lineman in both draft positions. Josh Simmons is an athletically gifted lineman capable of protecting Geno Smith and his heir apparent, he just needs to recover from the season-ending injury he suffered in October 2024.

    23) Green Bay Packers

Shavon Revel Jr., CB, East Carolina

With the exception of Jaire Alexander and Xavier McKinney, the Green Bay Packers’ secondary is rather weak, and the former could even be a cut candidate this offseason. Although the Packers contained Philadelphia’s WRs A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith well in the postseason, it was largely due to QB Jalen Hurts’ struggles.

GO FURTHER: PFSN’s Free NFL Offseason Manager — Salary Cap, Free Agency, and More

Their Week 17 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings was a prime example of their lack of depth in the secondary, which is exactly what Shavon Revel Jr. can provide. He is a lengthy cornerback with strong physical traits capable of being perfected by Alexander’s mentorship if he sticks around.

    24) Minnesota Vikings

    Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss

The Minnesota Vikings’ defense was among the best in the NFL this season but crumbled when it mattered most against Detroit. RB Jahmyr Gibbs dominated their run defense in the playoffs, recording 170 total yards and four touchdowns.

Walter Nolen has solid size and impressive mobility, making him an elite run defender and respectable pass rusher.

    25) Houston Texans

    Matthew Golden, WR, Texas

The Houston Texans’ wide receiver room was left depthless by the end of the season due to injuries to Tank Dell and Stefon Diggs. With Diggs and Robert Woods hitting free agency this offseason while Dell recovers from his serious injury, it’s in the best interest of QB C.J. Stroud to add another weapon.

Matthew Golden is a speedy deep threat capable of filling the role Dell played before going down with injury late in the year.

    26) Los Angeles Rams

    Emery Jones Jr., OL, LSU

All eyes are on veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford as he decides whether or not to return to the Los Angeles Rams next season. If he does, the Rams should bolster his protection in hopes of winning a second Super Bowl during his tenure.

Emery Jones Jr. is a well-put-together lineman with the flexibility necessary to succeed in the pros.

    27) Baltimore Ravens

    Donovan Jackson, OL, Ohio State

Donovan Jackson is selected here as a safety pick if all of the Baltimore Ravens’ offensive linemen hitting free agency decide to sign elsewhere. Jackson doesn’t stand out in any one skill but instead is a reliable option in all facets.

    28) Detroit Lions

    Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M

By season’s end, the Detroit Lions’ defense was derailed by injuries, especially on the defensive line. Aidan Hutchinson and Marcus Davenport missed time, which forced the front office to seek help from Za’Darius Smith midseason.

Adding another strong talent to the defensive line could work in their benefit, and Nic Scourton fits the Lions’ mold of tough and physical players.

    29) Washington Commanders

    Tre Harris, WR, Ole Miss

It didn’t take long for quarterback Jayden Daniels to prove he’s the face of the Washington Commanders’ future. Outside of Terry McLaurin and Zach Ertz, Daniels lacked weapons to throw to downfield when it mattered most.

Tre Harris is a physical threat at 6’2″, capable of making contested catches in tight coverage.

    30) Buffalo Bills

    Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan

The Buffalo Bills are near the bottom of the league in cap space, which explains prioritizing a run defender in Round 1. Quinton Jefferson, Jordan Phillips, and Austin Johnson could be heading to free agency, leaving a possible void alongside Ed Oliver.

    31) Kansas City Chiefs

    Josh Conerly Jr., OL, Oregon

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes was running for his life in the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles, similar to what he did against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Kansas City Chiefs’ top priority is protecting Mahomes, so it makes sense to shore up the offensive line. This doesn’t even mention the fact Trey Smith is a free agent this summer.

    32) Philadelphia Eagles

    Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama

It’s hard to find a hole on this Philadelphia Eagles roster that is widely seen as one of the best in recent memory. However, the best strategy is adding depth to a position that could take a hit in free agency.

Bringing in Jihaad Campbell means he can either learn from the Eagles’ stars or be thrust into a significant role if Josh Sweat departs this offseason.
