Nickelodeon will have an alternate Super Bowl broadcast for kids for the first time. Super Bowl LVIII Live from Bikini Bottom will be the network’s fifth NFL broadcast and third postseason game since January 2021.
The broadcast will be filled with enhanced graphics along with explanations for the basics of the game and penalties to help teach viewers.
How To Watch Super Bowl LVIII Live from Bikini Bottom
Fans of Nickelodeon can tune into the channel at 6:30 p.m. ET, on Sunday, February 11, same time as the primary Super Bowl LVIII broadcast on CBS, to watch the special alternate broadcast.
However, it is not only the game itself that gets the special Nickelodeon treatment, as there will be coverage throughout the day. Fans can also tune in at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday for the “NFL Slimetime at Super Bowl” for even more kid-centric Super Bowl content.
Who Are the Nickelodeon Game Announcers?
SpongeBob SquarePants (voiced by Tom Kenny) and Patrick Star (voiced by Bill Fagerbakke) will be joining play-by-play announcer Noah Eagle and CBS Sports analyst Nate Burleson live in the booth to call the game.
Eagle and Burleson called this season’s Nickelodeon NFL Nickmas alongside Raphael (voiced by Brady Noon) in the augmented reality booth. They have called the four previous Nickelodeon NFL broadcasts, including the 2021 playoff game between the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers.
Eagle broadcasted college football for CBS and Fox for two seasons before joining NBC for Big Ten games this year. Eagle, the son of longtime announcer Ian Eagle, called an NFL playoff game for NBC this season.
Burleson came to CBS from the NFL Network, where he was a host of Good Morning Football. He has been part of The NFL Today team since 2017 and will be on pregame coverage on CBS. Burleson added being a host for CBS This Morning to his duties in 2021.
Nickelodeon’s Supporting Cast
Outside of SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star, several other Nickelodeon stars will be a part of the broadcast. Sandy Cheeks (voiced by Carolyn Lawrence) will be reporting from the sidelines for the first time, along with Larry the Lobster (voiced by Mr. Lawrence), who will provide live commentary.
Burleson and Young Dylan (played by Dylan Gilmer) host Nickelodeon’s NFL Slimetime, a weekly highlight show where end zones are turned into slime zones.

NFL Slimetime’s Young Dylan and Dylan Schefter, the daughter of ESPN’s Adam Schefter, will also be providing live reports from the stadium.
Asher Colton Spence’s voiced character Boots and Diana Zermeño’s voiced character Dora the Explorer will assist in explaining penalty calls during the game.
Plankton will be providing fun antics during the game, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be in attendance. There will also be surprise appearances from Nickelodeon characters in the crowd.
Special Features for Broadcast
When someone scores a touchdown, end zone cannons have been reimagined to fire Slime, Krabby Patties, and pickles. On this season’s Nickmas between the Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders, the Raiders got a lot of clime on a pick-six.
