The 2024 NFL offseason was very busy, to say the least. Organizations around the league have added and subtracted from their rosters last year and have completely changed the balance of powers in both conferences.
With NFL training camps underway, let’s revisit the biggest moves each team made in the offseason.
Every NFL Team’s Notable Offseason Acquisitions
Arizona Cardinals
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Jonah Williams, Sean Murphy-Bunting, Mack Wilson Sr., Desmond Ridder, Marvin Harrison Jr.
The Cardinals have used a quiet approach to their offseason as they try and continue their rebuild under second-year head coach Jonathan Gannon. Arizona could be a few years away from true Super Bowl contention, but they certainly got better this offseason after drafting Harrison as well.
Atlanta Falcons
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Kirk Cousins, Darnell Mooney, Rondale Moore
Atlanta was a roster filled with top talent before Kirk Cousins signed with the team in free agency. Now, the Falcons are considered one of the more talented teams in the NFC, let alone in the NFC South. This comes even with their confusing selection of Michael Penix Jr. as the eighth overall pick.
Baltimore Ravens
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Derrick Henry, Josh Jones, Deonte Harty, Eddie Jackson
Baltimore is one of the teams that were completely gashed in free agency. While the Ravens were able to acquire Derrick Henry, they lost significant pieces to the roster that finished first in the NFL in wins. How they handle losses along the offensive line and at linebacker will determine how far this team can go in 2024.
Buffalo Bills
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Curtis Samuel, La’el Collins, Marquez Valdes-Scantling
Much like the Ravens, due to their lower cap number, the Bills had to part ways with several key veterans on the roster including Stefon Diggs, Tre’Davious White, and Jordan Poyer. While Curtis Samuel and Marquez Valdes-Scantling are expected to help balance out the receiving room, there are plenty of questions surrounding how Buffalo will look in 2024.
Carolina Panthers
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Diontae Johnson, Robert Hunt, Damien Lewis, A’Shawn Robinson, Jordan Fuller
Without their own first-round pick, the Panthers managed to address some key parts of their offense, including trading for a top receiver in Diontae Johnson. They also addressed the interior of their line with Robert Hunt and Damien Lewis.
Make no mistake, though, this season will be all about whether Bryce Young can perform at the NFL level.
Chicago Bears
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Keenan Allen, D’Andre Swift, Kevin Byard, Caleb Williams
Few teams have gone through an offensive revamp quite like the Bears’ over the last few months. The Justin Fields era ended quickly in the hopes that the USC product in Caleb Williams would be up to the task. Adding veteran playmakers like Keenan Allen and D’Andre Swift makes all the sense in the world.

Cincinnati Bengals
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Geno Stone, Sheldon Rankins, Mike Gesicki, Trent Brown
Cincinnati is currently in the middle of paying its Pro Bowl quarterback but was still able to address some needs along the offensive line and the defensive side of the ball. There are still some questions regarding Tee Higgins’ contract, but the Bengals look more than ready to compete in the AFC once again.
Cleveland Browns
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Jerry Jeudy, Jordan Hicks, Quinton Jefferson, Jameis Winston, D’Onta Foreman
Depth. Depth. Depth. That was the goal for Cleveland this offseason, and they did that in droves. Jerry Jeudy provides a quality second option at receiver outside of Amari Cooper. Quinton Jefferson is an underrated interior rusher as well. The Browns continue to be all-in on their current core.
Dallas Cowboys
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Eric Kendricks, Ezekiel Elliott
And the award to the team with the quietest offseason goes to the Dallas Cowboys! With three straight years of 12 wins, Dallas is banking on its talented core to continue to be elite simply because it didn’t do much to add to the roster at all. Eric Kendricks is a solid linebacker, and Ezekiel Elliott is serviceable now, but these don’t move the needle at all.
Denver Broncos
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: John Franklin-Myers, Zach Wilson, Bo Nix
Denver is in the early stages of its rebuild but managed to pick up a solid defensive line piece in John Franklin-Myers. He’ll provide some veteran leadership to a team that said goodbye to Justin Simmons in the offseason. Outside of that, the quarterback battle between another former in Jet Zach Wilson and 12th overall pick Bo Nix will be the center of most training camp conversations.
Detroit Lions
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Kevin Zeitler, Marcus Davenport, Carlton Davis III
Detroit was already extremely talented on offense, and then it added a top guard in Zeitler this offseason. Marcus Davenport and Carlton Davis III should be able to help improve the 19th-ranked defense in yards allowed per game.
Green Bay Packers
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Josh Jacobs, Xavier McKinney, Andre Dillard
Green Bay got bold after its surprise run to the Divisional Round of the playoffs last season. The Packers spent big money on both Xavier McKinney and Josh Jacobs in the hopes it would put them over the top in a competitive NFC. So long as Jordan Love continues his development, the Packers will be a team to watch in 2024.
Houston Texans
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Stefon Diggs, Danielle Hunter, Denico Autry, Joe Mixon, Azeez Al-Shaair, Neville Hewitt, Jeff Okudah
Thanks to reigning rookie of the year C.J. Stroud being on a rookie contract, the Texans were able to add significant talent to both offensive and defensive sides of the ball. Stefon Diggs and Joe Mixon should help immediately on offense, while the additions of Danielle Hunter, Azeez Al-Shaair, and Neville Hewitt could make the Texans one of the best teams in football for 2024.
Indianapolis Colts
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Joe Flacco, Raekwon Davis
Chris Ballard is notorious for not spending cap space on free agents, instead choosing to address Indianapolis’ needs in the NFL Draft. That’s why, as usual, the Colts stood pat during the free agency and trade window.

The acquisitions they did make include a strong backup quarterback in Joe Flacco and a quality depth piece in Raekwon Davis. This team will be successful, though, if Anthony Richardson takes a significant step forward in his development and also stays healthy.
Jacksonville Jaguars
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Arik Armstead, Ronald Darby, Devin Duvernay, Gabe Davis, Darnell Savage
After Calvin Ridley opted for Tennessee, the Jaguars tried to fill his shoes in the aggregate — signing Devin Duvernay and Gabe Davis to try and bolster the entire group as a whole instead of bringing in one specific player. Arik Armstead is a solid pro who can help along the defensive line as well. If Trevor Lawrence gets his production close to his sophomore season, the Jags should be in a strong position to compete for the AFC South crown.
Kansas City Chiefs
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Carson Wentz, Hollywood Brown
The Chiefs’ two most notable transactions involved re-signing Chris Jones and trading L’Jarius Sneed, but Hollywood Brown should give Patrick Mahomes a much-needed deep threat to work with on the outside. Outside of Brown, the Chiefs’ most notable veteran addition was bringing in Carson Wentz to be Mahomes’ backup.
Las Vegas Raiders
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Christian Wilkins, Gardner Minshew II, Michael Gallup, Cody Whitehair
Vegas may seem happy with their new head coach, but there are still many questions regarding their signal-caller. They did what they could to add to the team, but this team still feels a few moves away from true championship contention.
Los Angeles Chargers
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Hayden Hurst, Gus Edwards, Denzel Perryman, DJ Chark Jr., J.K. Dobbins
The Jim Harbaugh era has begun in Los Angeles, and that means an investment into the offensive line and a running back-by-committee approach. With Harbaugh hiring Greg Roman to be his offensive coordinator, they brought in two running backs he is very familiar with from his time in Baltimore.
Los Angeles Rams
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Jimmy Garoppolo, Tre’Davious White, Kamren Curl, Jonah Jackson
The Rams saw Aaron Donald retire this offseason, a move that is unsurprising when you look at the age of the entire roster. Los Angeles did make moves to keep Matthew Stafford upright, but fixing its defense was clearly the main point for them in the offseason.
Miami Dolphins
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Calais Campbell, Marcus Maye, Odell Beckham Jr., Jack Driscoll, Jordan Poyer, Neville Gallimore, Aaron Brewer
Miami was one of the few teams in the NFL that saw many of its top players leave in free agency, but they moved quickly to replace them with veterans looking for their best shot at a ring. OBJ, Marcus Maye, Calais Campbell, Aaron Brewer, and Jordan Poyer should have instant impacts as well for their sides of the ball.
Minnesota Vikings
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Shaquill Griffin, Dan Feeney, Jerry Tillery, Aaron Jones, Sam Darnold, Jonathan Greenard, Andrew Van Ginkel
Minnesota seems like it is in the early stages of a retool of sorts — even with Justin Jefferson becoming the highest-paid non-QB in league history. The defense has been retooled well so far, but there are still questions at quarterback and the offensive line that will be something to watch for this season.
New England Patriots
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: K.J. Osborn, Jacoby Brissett, Chukwuma Okorafor
Gone are the days when the Patriots were considered the top team in the NFL no matter what they did in the offseason. The Bill Belichick era has ended and New England continues to be very patient with how they rebuild its roster now.

New Orleans Saints
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Chase Young, Ugo Amadi
The Saints find ways to create cap space to stay competitive from year to year. That doesn’t mean they are Super Bowl contenders, though. Chase Young is still only 25 years old and was a nice addition, but this is a team with tons of questions all over its roster.
New York Giants
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Brian Burns, John Runyan Jr., Jermaine Eluemunor, Drew Lock
After letting Saquon Barkley and McKinney walk in free agency, the Giants were determined to improve in the trenches on both sides of the ball with their veteran additions this offseason. Adding Brian Burns to go along with Kayvon Thibodeaux and Dexter Lawrence should give the Giants a dangerous pass rush.
New York Jets
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Tyron Smith, Mike Williams, Morgan Moses, Tyrod Taylor, Haason Reddick
The Jets are one of the few teams who did not have a ton of cap space going into the offseason, but they did manage to come away with several key players they hope will have an impact on the NFL season. The two big fish are Haason Reddick and Tyron Smith, but if the Jets are to end their 13-year playoff drought, they need to make sure each of these players stays healthy.
Philadelphia Eagles
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Saquon Barkley, Bryce Huff, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Parris Campbell, Devin White, Kenny Pickett
Philadelphia had a lot of cap space to work with this offseason, and it not only extended much of its young offensive core but added some key pieces to its 2024 puzzle. Barkley is the top running back the Eagles haven’t had since LeSean McCoy was traded in 2015, and the defense has gone through some major transformations over the last few months.
Pittsburgh Steelers
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Patrick Queen, Russell Wilson, Justin Fields, DeShon Elliott, Cordarrelle Patterson, Quez Watkins
The Kenny Pickett era is over in Pittsburgh after two seasons, and the Steelers have rallied around a quarterback battle between Russell Wilson and Fields. They also added some nice offensive weapons in Cordarrelle Patterson and Quez Watkins, but the real addition is on the defense. DeShon Elliott and Patrick Queen are two players from two positions of need that should get Pittsburgh’s defense back to the top of the NFL.
San Francisco 49ers
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Jon Feliciano, De’Vondre Campbell, Leonard Floyd, Chris Hubbard
San Francisco continues to be a juggernaut of sorts in the NFC and got better during the offseason. De’Vondre Campbell is a very good linebacker when healthy, and the Chris Hubbard and Jon Feliciano additions should provide necessary depth along the offensive line. The 49ers aren’t going away anytime soon.
Seattle Seahawks
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Nick Harris, Sam Howell, Laken Tomlinson, Laviska Shenault, George Fant
Seattle added some quality pieces along the offensive line — especially considering how poor the group was in 2023. Sam Howell is a quality backup quarterback prospect, and the team itself should still be rather competitive in the NFC in its first year under new head coach Mike Macdonald.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Jordan Whitehead, Ben Bredeson, Randy Gregory, Sterling Shepard
Tampa Bay paid a lot of money to keep its core together this offseason but also found ways to improve the rest of the roster as well. Jordan Whitehead returns to the team after a short run with the Jets, and the offensive line continues to be reshaped after injuries and retirements.

Tennessee Titans
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: L’Jarius Sneed, Jamal Adams, Tyler Boyd, Tony Pollard, Lloyd Cushenberry, Chidobe Awuzie, Kenneth Murray Jr., Calvin Ridley
The Titans are another team with a new coaching staff and a new outlook on the overall roster. Former second-round pick Will Levis has received major boosts across the offense including multiple additions at receiver and along the offensive line. Tennessee’s 2024 jump will hinge on their quarterback, but this is a very talented roster.
Washington Commanders
Notable Offseason Acquisitions: Austin Ekeler, Tyler Biadasz, Bobby Wagner, Brandon McManus, Noah Igbinoghene, Zach Ertz, Jeremy Chinn, Jayden Daniels
The Commanders have a new head coach in Dan Quinn, new front office leadership, and a rookie quarterback in Jayden Daniels who are all hoping to build off of their strong offseason to put forth their best year in decades.
Quinn acquired many former Cowboys players on top of some important outsiders in free agency, including Bobby Wagner and Austin Ekeler. Washington should be far improved from last season’s 4-13 finish.
