2023 Senior Bowl: Top 10 NFL Draft Prospects Competing

We're breaking down the top prospects at the Senior Bowl -- led by Isaiah Foskey and O'Cyrus Torrence.

The Senior Bowl, like other college football all-star games, is a place for NFL draft prospects who want to elevate their stock ahead of the NFL’s annual selection event. This year is no exception, and these are the top Senior Bowl prospects to watch in the 2023 all-star game.

Top 10 NFL Draft Prospects Competing in the 2023 Senior Bowl

    Isaiah Foskey, EDGE, Notre Dame

With 23 tackles for loss, 20.5 sacks, and seven forced fumbles over the past two seasons, Notre Dame’s Isaiah Foskey has been one of the most disruptive defensive players in college football. As a result, he heads to Mobile as one of the top prospects at the Senior Bowl. The 6’4″, 260-pound edge has the length, power, and relentless motor to be a dominant force in the NFL.

    O’Cyrus Torrence, G, Florida

O’Cyrus Torrence isn’t just one of the top prospects at the Senior Bowl, he’s one of the very best guards in the entire 2023 NFL Draft class. The 6’5″, 335-pound Florida guard is a huge presence on the interior offensive line. He brings elevated technical ability as a pass protector to Mobile and will act as a powerful people mover in the run game for an NFL team.

    John Michael Schmitz, C, Minnesota

There is some serious offensive line talent in Mobile, and John Michael Schmitz is one of the top prospects at the Senior Bowl. The Minnesota center has paved the way for record-setting running back Mohamed Ibrahim, with his explosive athleticism making him a threat at the second level.

Schmitz is a stout force with excellent play strength and high-level technical ability.

    Darnell Wright, OT, Tennessee

Emphasizing the depth of o-line talent in Mobile, Tennessee, offensive tackle Darnell Wright is one of the top prospects at the 2023 Senior Bowl. Wright has valuable experience at both bookends, while his size (6’6″, 335 pounds) is coupled with excellent length. Wright possesses an alluring combination of nastiness, power, strength, and technical excellence.

    Rashee Rice, WR, SMU

Last year, Danny Gray earned rave reviews in Mobile. Now, former teammate Rashee Rice projects to be one of the top prospects at the Senior Bowl.

The SMU wide receiver boasts good size at a listed 6’2″, 203 pounds, and puts it to good use, combined with excellent body control, at the catch point. However, it’s Rice’s speed and elusiveness after the catch that makes him exciting.

    Luke Musgrave, TE, Oregon State

Of all the top prospects at the Senior Bowl, Luke Musgrave arguably has the most to gain. Having missed the majority of the season, it’s an opportunity to prove he’s healthy and also showcase the devastating athletic profile that made the 6’6″, 250-pound TE a “Feldman’s Freak.”

While there is blocking development to be done, Musgrave’s already a top-tier pass catcher at the position.

    JL Skinner, S, Boise State

Although the Day 1 attention he received early in the cycle has cooled, Boise State safety JL Skinner is still one of the top prospects at the Senior Bowl. Measuring in favorably compared to last year’s draft darling Kyle Hamilton, Skinner plays with the same level of ferocity. He’s an explosive athlete with sideline-to-sideline speed and breathtaking physicality in all phases.

Cody Mauch, OT, North Dakota State

The North Dakota State pipeline of top prospects to the Senior Bowl continues in 2023 with Bison left tackle Cody Mauch. There are few offensive tackles in this class that are as imposing in the ground game as the NDSU prospect, with his athletic and elite technical ability in that phase of the game being Mauch’s calling card.

If he can showcase that same dominance in pass protection while in Mobile, the sky can be the limit for the Bison behemoth.

    Derick Hall, DL, Auburn

Look for Auburn defensive end Derick Hall to dominate the Senior Bowl — from the measurements, through practice, and into the game itself. The 6’3″, 255-pound edge prospect should measure in with some eye-popping length.

On the field, Hall has the burst and bend to attack the outside track while possessing the ability to generate power as a bullying threat from inside.

    Andre Carter II, LB, Army

Andre Carter II is a rare service academy prospect who has a legitimate chance of cracking the top 50 players in the 2023 NFL Draft. At 6’7″, 260 pounds, Carter is a unique build with an exciting combination of explosion, speed, and change-of-direction ability. His length gives him a distinct advantage at the point of attack, as he’s regularly able to keep offensive linemen away from his chest.
