Who Are the Top Quarterbacks in the 2023 NFL Draft?
Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud, Anthony Richardson, Will Levis. In no concrete order, those are your top quarterbacks in the 2023 NFL Draft. While the order varies from analyst to analyst, that group is nearly undisputed as the top of the class.
Young and Stroud have been favorites to contend for the top spot for a while, dating all the way back to the 2021 season. Young is an elite creator with steely instincts and remarkable poise under pressure, while Stroud is a surgical pocket operator with tremendous accuracy and eyes to go along with his own underrated athleticism and arm talent.
Richardson and Levis are both more polarizing as prospects in their own ways. But both also lead the class in terms of raw, natural talent.

Levis is a bulldozer in space at 6’3″, 230 pounds with a rocket arm. Richardson is similarly sized, but at that size, he’s a truly elite athlete with a similar explosive capacity in his arm.
Those four comprise the group of QBs most likely to become long-term starters from the 2023 NFL Draft. Hendon Hooker is often viewed as the next up with his talent, accuracy, and efficiency — though questions about his age, independence within the offense, and immediate availability may drive his stock down.
Past the top five, there are other intriguing passers, among them Jake Haener, Clayton Tune, Tyson Bagent, Aidan O’Connell, Dorian Thompson-Robinson, Jaren Hall, Tanner McKee, Max Duggan, and Stetson Bennett. All told, as many as a dozen quarterbacks could be drafted in the 2023 NFL Draft, and many more will earn tryouts and opportunities in training camp.
