2022 NFL Mock Draft: Round 4 | Picks 125-143
There are still plenty of talented prospects available in the back half of Round 4.
125) Miami Dolphins: Braxton Jones, OT, Southern Utah
Although he played left tackle for Southern Utah, Braxton Jones heads to the Miami Dolphins with the hope of transitioning to right tackle. His ludicrous length allows him to keep pass rushers at bay. Furthermore, he plays the game with a remarkable nastiness that should adhere him to fans who have been clamoring for an upgrade to the offensive line.
126) Cincinnati Bengals (mock trade from LV): Isaiah Likely, TE, Coastal Carolina
The Cincinnati Bengals added lots of defensive reinforcements across the first three rounds. In this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, they turn their attention to offense. Coastal Carolina’s Isaiah Likely is an exceptional pass catcher who flashes the ability to stretch the field with deceptive athleticism that wasn’t reflected in his NFL Combine testing.
127) Minnesota Vikings (mock trade from NE): Chigoziem Okonkwo, TE, Maryland
One of my favorite sleeper tight end prospects in the draft, Chigoziem Okonkwo woke people up by setting the fastest 40-yard dash time at the NFL Combine. While his athleticism is apparent, Okonkwo is also a reliable pass catcher that will give Kirk Cousins another option in the passing game.
128) Baltimore Ravens: Haskell Garrett, DT, Ohio State
UConn’s Travis Jones gives the Ravens the imposing size on the defensive front that they love combined with some alluring pass-rush upside. However, Ohio State defensive tackle Haskell Garrett is a ready-to-go pass-rushing DT who has demonstrated a decent toolbox, some explosion, and a knack for being disruptive.
129) Dallas Cowboys: Lecitus Smith, G, Virginia Tech
While first-round selection Tyler Smith is likely to be a Day 1 starter at guard, there’s the potential for him to be the long-term replacement for Tyron Smith at offensive tackle. That will leave the Cowboys requiring a long-term answer at guard. Enter Lecitus Smith, who is a powerful and savage run blocker that will enhance Dallas’ ground game.
130) Baltimore Ravens: Khalil Shakir, WR, Boise State
More weapons for Lamar Jackson come in the form of Boise State’s Khalil Shakir. A dangerous beast with the ball in his hands, Shakir also boasts NFL-caliber route running alongside a toughness that belies his size. Throw in special-teams experience, and he’s something of a bargain pick in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft.
131) Tennessee Titans: Charlie Kolar, TE, Iowa State
Although the Titans have a crowded tight end room, especially with the addition of Austin Hooper, there’s not a lot of standout quality. In truth, there hasn’t been since Jonnu Smith’s departure to New England. While Charlie Kolar has his detractors, he’s proven to be a reliable, go-to threat as a catcher, particularly in the red zone, which may benefit Malik Willis once he takes over from Ryan Tannehill.
132) Green Bay Packers: Calvin Austin III, WR, Memphis
An already successful draft class for the Green Bay Packers gets even better with the addition of Calvin Austin III in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. The polar opposite of their other WR pick — Christian Watson — in terms of size, the diminutive Austin is a pocket dynamo who wins with quickness on releases while showcasing toughness and reliable hands.
133) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Kaleb Eleby, QB, Western Michigan
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were considered a genuine landing spot for Malik Willis, so why wouldn’t they seek to add another quarterback to their roster. Who knows when Tom Brady might retire again, and Kaleb Eleby would prove to be stiff competition for Kyle Trask as a backup quarterback who has showcased that he can put the ball on a rope.
134) Pittsburgh Steelers (mock trade from SF): Matt Waletzko, OT, North Dakota
Whether it’s Mitchell Trubisky, Mason Rudolph, or Kenny Pickett lining up under center this season, it would be a surprise for the Pittsburgh Steelers to progress much further in this draft class without adding to the offensive line room. A man-mountain, Matt Waletzko has impressive length and athleticism while already possessing some technical nuance.
135) Kansas City Chiefs: Cade Otton, TE, Washington
While the Kansas City Chiefs added Skyy Moore to their receiving room, don’t rule out further offensive additions. Washington’s Cade Otton is an underrated all-rounder at the tight end position, showcasing reliable hands as a pass catcher while being physical as a blocker.
136) San Francisco 49ers (mock trade from CIN): Verone McKinley III, S, Oregon
A thin safety room in terms of depth gets a boost from Oregon’s Verone McKinley III, who links up with former teammate Deommodore Lenoir in the San Francisco secondary. Possessing elite football intelligence, impressive ball skills, and fancy footwork, McKinley has been able to patrol the secondary at a high level and should be able to do the same for the 49ers.
137) New England Patriots: Darian Kinnard, OT, Kentucky
While adding another bulky offensive tackle might seem unnecessary for the Patriots, there could be a bigger plan afoot from this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. A long-term line that featured Cole Strange at center, Darian Kinnard at guard, and Daniel Faalele at right tackle has the potential to be a fearsome unit.
138) Las Vegas Raiders (mock trade from PIT): Chris Paul, OT, Tulsa
Sources close to PFN tell us that Chris Paul isn’t expected to make it out of Round 4, and that’s exactly what happens in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. His sub-6’4″ height and extensive experience on the interior should see Paul transition inside at the NFL level. Boasting a stout frame and good length, he has the strength and technique to make an impact at the NFL level.
139) Baltimore Ravens: Zyon McCollum, CB, Sam Houston State
There’s a section of Ravens fans that absolutely hate it when you mock a cornerback to them. However, Marcus Peters and Marlon Humphrey aren’t going to be around forever. Adding a tall, long, physical presence on the outside like Zyon McCollum ensures a succession plan and quality depth. Impactful at the catch point, McCollum is also physical in run support.
140) Green Bay Packers: Jeffrey Gunter, EDGE, Coastal Carolina
The Packers land a versatile defensive playmaker in the form of Coastal Carolina’s Jeffrey Gunter at the back end of Round 4 in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. Boasting an impressive athletic profile and excellent length, Gunter is a powerful prospect who adds special-teams value to his ability to play defensive end or outside linebacker.
141) Baltimore Ravens: Alec Lindstrom, C, Boston College
At this point, the Ravens have selected almost every player in the draft with their frankly ridiculous number of mid-round picks. Adding a depth piece behind new center Tyler Linderbaum might seem unnecessary, but Alec Lindstrom’s experience in multiple offensive schemes makes him an ideal backup.
142) Los Angeles Rams: Dominique Robinson, EDGE, Miami (OH)
While he won’t be expected to replace Von Miller completely for the Los Angeles Rams, Miami (OH) EDGE prospect Dominique Robinson is packed with upside and potential. A former wide receiver who is relatively early in his defensive development, Robinson is an explosive pass-rush prospect with the bend ability to be productive at the NFL level.
143) Tennessee Titans: Jerome Ford, RB, Cincinnati
While Jerome Ford’s impressive long speed may fool you into thinking he could just be a change-of-pace back behind Derrick Henry, the Cincinnati rusher possesses some physicality of his own between the tackles. He’s developed over the last season as a receiver too, making him a reliable option out of the backfield and a dangerous playmaker overall.
