First Round 2021 NFL Mock Draft: Five QBs drafted in the top 10?

First Round 2021 NFL Mock Draft | Picks 17-32

    17. Las Vegas Raiders: Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB, Notre Dame

Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is a rare prospect that can excel in a plethora of areas. The middle of Las Vegas’ defense could certainly use some attention as well as an injection of elite athleticism.

    18. Miami Dolphins: Christian Darrisaw, OT, Virginia Tech

After grabbing Chase, why not keep adding to the offense and put Christian Darrisaw on one of the NFL’s worst offensive lines from 2020? Tua sure wouldn’t object to these two picks in Round 1.

    19. Washington Football Team: Teven Jenkins, OT, Oklahoma State

This Washington offensive line looks like one player away from being one of the better units in the league. Teven Jenkins is versatile and can play tackle or guard. He brings nastiness and physicality to Washington’s front five.

    20. Chicago Bears: Rashod Bateman, WR, Minnesota

This First Round 2021 NFL Mock Draft did not fall all that well for Chicago. There might be some mixed opinions if this is too early for Rashod Bateman, but he has exceptional tape at the college level and the Bears could use another receiver without question.

    21. Indianapolis Colts: Kwity Paye, DE, Michigan

Edge rusher is one of the Colts’ top needs. There isn’t an offensive tackle to take at this spot, so they gladly take an elite athlete at the position in Kwity Paye to enhance their ability to affect opposing quarterbacks without blitzing.

    22. Tennessee Titans: Caleb Farley, CB, Virginia Tech

Guessing where Caleb Farley falls after his back procedure is no easy task. However, the Titans would love to add a cornerback with Farley’s traits as they reconstruct their pass defense. The Titans selected Jeffery Simmons, who fell for similar reasons in 2019.

    23. New York Jets (via Seahawks): Jaelan Phillips, DE, Miami FL

Jaelan Phillips may very well be the best prospect on the defensive front in this entire draft, and New York gets him at No. 23 to pair with Carl Lawson. Remember how Robert Saleh’s defenses were built in San Francisco? That is what is coming to fruition for the Jets.

    24. Pittsburgh Steelers: Najee Harris, RB, Alabama

Najee Harris is a powerful ball carrier and would be instrumental in the Steelers’ rebuilding of their running game. Additionally, Harris also has a lot of upside as a big receiving back. Remember how Pittsburgh used Le’Veon Bell?

    25. Jacksonville Jaguars (via Rams): Trevon Moehrig, S, TCU

The Jaguars get the best quarterback in the draft at No. 1 overall, and they get the best safety with their second pick in this 2021 First Round NFL Mock Draft. This position was a huge problem for Jacksonville last year and now, with Trevon Moehrig, it can be an area of strength.

    26. Cleveland Browns: Gregory Rousseau, DE, Miami FL

The Browns need an edge rusher to complement Myles Garrett and get it here with Gregory Rousseau. Rousseau isn’t the twitchiest, but he can also slide inside on throwing downs. Cleveland’s roster is coming together nicely.

    27. Baltimore Ravens: Terrace Marshall Jr., WR, LSU

With the exception of Sammy Watkins, the Ravens didn’t get much done to upgrade their wide receiver position in free agency. Adding Terrace Marshall Jr. could go a long way, and he gives Lamar Jackson a target with a big-catch radius who can get downfield to keep defenses honest.

    28. New Orleans Saints: Kadarius Toney, WR, Florida

Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara are phenomenal weapons, but the Saints could use another explosive player with the ball in his hands. Adding Kadarius Toney to Sean Payton’s arsenal is a nightmare for defenses.

    29. Green Bay Packers: Zaven Collins, LB, Tulsa

Cornerback or wide receiver would be preferred, but there isn’t an obvious answer at those positions here. That being said, Green Bay could use a force like Zaven Collins in the middle of their defense. Getting him at No. 29 overall is a steal.

    30. Buffalo Bills: Jayson Oweh, DE, Penn State

The Bills have a solid pass rush, but they lack a true star in this capacity. Jayson Oweh didn’t have a sack last season at Penn State but is dripping with upside. He could learn his trade slowly in Buffalo.

    31. Kansas City Chiefs: Samuel Cosmi, OT, Texas

Samuel Cosmi is an excellent athlete for the offensive tackle position, and clearly, the Chiefs needs help here. He is not the best run blocker, but he would be pass blocking a high percentage of the time in Kansas City’s offense. Furthermore, Cosmi wouldn’t be asked to blow people off the ball.

    32. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Christian Barmore, DT, Alabama

Inconsistency is the biggest issue with Christian Barmore, but Tampa Bay could use him early in his career in a part-time role. His upside is immense, and this would be an exceptional environment for Barmore to study and develop.
