ROUND ONE
1. Cincinnati Bengals: Joe Burrow, Quarterback, LSU
While Chase Young is an amazing player, a franchise doesn’t have a historically bad season to select a defensive end. Joe Burrow is their guy, and a new era begins in Cincinnati.
2. New York Giants: Chase Young, Edge, Ohio State
Luckily for the Giants, the best player in the draft is on the board. Young fills an immediate need and gives the G-Men a perennial Defensive Player of the Year threat.
3-Washington Redskins: Andrew Thomas, Offensive Tackle, Georgia
Trent Williams and the Redskins are heading for a divorce, so finding someone to protect Dwayne Haskins is paramount.
4. Miami Dolphins: Tua Tagovailoa, Quarterback, Alabama
Tua Tagovailoa was the Miami Dolphins’ guy from the jump. Despite a significant hip injury, Tagovailoa is the cream of the crop in terms of quarterbacks in the 2020 NFL draft. The Miami Dolphins finally have their first legitimate quarterback since the retirement of Dan Marino.
5. Atlanta Falcons: Derrick Brown, Defensive Tackle, Auburn
Pairing Derrick Brown with Grady Jarrett in the middle of the Atlanta defense is scary. In 2019, Brown has proven to be one of the best players in all of college football.
6. Detroit Lions: A.J. Epenesa, Edge, Iowa
Matt Patricia might not be long for Detroit and if he was to be fired, this pick could be a quarterback; however, if he stays, he must find a way to help his defense create pressure. Epenesa is a freakish pass rusher, whom is playing his best football to end the season.
7. Arizona Cardinals: Tristian Wirfs, Offensive Tackle, Iowa
The Cardinals offensive line is woeful, so they must add resources to making the unit better, which will allow Kyler Murray to stay upright.
8. Jacksonville Jaguars: Isaiah Simmons, Linebacker/Safety, Clemson
The sudden retirement or leave of absence of Telvin Smith initiated a season of turmoil for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Enter Isaiah Simmons, a versatile player who brings a game-changing caliber of play.
9. New York Jets: Jerry Jeudy, Wide Receiver, Alabama
Sam Darnold needs a legitimate number-one receiver to take the next step in his development. Jeudy is a dynamic game-changer with great ball skills, who can become an immediate game-changing weapon.
10. Los Angeles Chargers: Justin Herbert, Quarterback, Oregon
Philip Rivers is losing the battle with “Father Time”, so the Chargers must think about his replacement. Justin Herbert has some flaws, yet there is no denying his arm talent.
11. Denver Broncos: Jeffrey Okudah, Cornerback, Ohio State
It is the Broncos lucky day, the best cornerback in the draft falls into their lap. Okudah has the makings of an NFL shutdown cornerback and fills a major need for Denver.
12. Philadelphia Eagles: CeeDee Lamb, Wide Receiver, Oklahoma
Lamb is a sensational playmaker and fills a major need for the Eagles and more importantly, Carson Wentz.
13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Javon Kinlaw, Defensive Tackle South Carolina
Ndamukong Suh is a mercenary on a one-year deal, so it is likely that he won’t be back with Tampa Bay next year. Javon Kinlaw is an athletic marvel, whom will bolster the Buccaneers front-seven.
14. Carolina Panthers: Grant Delpit, Safety, LSU
Coming into the 2019 season, Grant Delpit looked like a lock as a top-ten selection in the 2020 draft. Delpit needs to work on his tackling; however, he oozes potential and fills a major need for the Panthers.
15. Cleveland Browns: Jedrick Wills, Offensive Tackle, Alabama
The Browns bought all the fancy accessories for their new car, but forgot the engine. The Browns offensive line has been the teams Achilles’ heel this season. For this team to get better, they must fix this group.
16. Las Vegas Raiders: Henry Ruggs III, Wide Receiver, Alabama
The Raiders need to add some viable pass catchers into the fold and the electrifying Henry Ruggs III would be a perfect fit.
