    Round 13: TE Noah Fant

Noah Fant is a great long-term answer at TE

With zero tight ends on my roster, the waiting game was over. I had to select a tight end, and with consecutive picks, the likelihood is that I will utilize both of my picks here to select tight ends. After not spending high capital on the elite tight ends, I turned my focus on what I project to be breakout tight ends. One of the tight ends that are high on my list to break out turned out to be my next selection, which is Denver Broncos’ tight end, Noah Fant.

    Fant’s Fantasy Analysis

Fant finished as of last year’s TE 16 in fantasy football even though the rookie tight end played with three quarterbacks in his first season. The former Iowa Hawkeye produced 40 receptions on 66 targets for 562 yards and three touchdowns last season.

His speed and agility are elite, and he is a nightmare matchup for defenders. Fant struggled early in his rookie season but became a more prominent offensive option as the year progressed. His four best games came after Drew Lock took over as the signal-caller.

The fantasy success of each of the Broncos offensive stars relies heavily on Lock building upon his impressive rookie season. The Broncos drafted Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler to boost the receiving corps who will team up with Courtland Sutton, who became the team’s top wideout with 72 catches for 1,112 yards and six touchdowns last season.

Fant will have plenty of room to work to pile up targets as each receiver will demand vertical attention in Shurmur’s offensive playbook.

Fant is in line to make a significant jump in fantasy value in the 2020 season. Look for him to jump into the top eight tight ends in 2020 and the type of late-round steal that wins fantasy championships!

    Round 14: TE Dallas Goedert

Goedert has TE1 fantasy appeal despite being Eagles’ TE2

Following the selection of a high-upside tight end like Fant, I decided to go firmly in that direction again in selecting Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert. Yes, I know Zach Ertz is still there. However, this tight end tandem works as 1A and 1B.

In 2019, Goedert set new career highs across the board by hauling in 58 catches for 607 yards to go along with five touchdowns while also managing to place top 10 in each of those fantasy stats among tight ends. The Eagles are home to two of the top tight ends in the NFL today, and I am ecstatic to select Goedert here in the 14th round.

    Goedert’s Fantasy Analysis

Ertz was the most targeted Eagles player with 135 targets in 2019, and he is Carson Wentz’s go-to guy. In fact, Wentz completed 40 percent of his passes to tight ends last season. Goedert finished with the second-most receiving yards on the Eagles roster despite only playing 770 offensive plays (66 percent).

Thanks to his option being exercised earlier this offseason, Ertz and his tight end partner Goedert will be in the fold through the end of the 2021 season.

The one advantage that Goedert exhibits is his ability to run block. Known as the best non-lineman run blocker on the roster, Goedert remains on the field regardless of play-calling, which bodes well for the increased fantasy opportunities.

Shockingly, Goedert was not selected before my pick. His continued ascension makes him a considerable part of the Eagles attack especially considering the troubles at wide receiver. I will grab my golden ticket here and not complain.

    Round 15: WR Preston Williams

Preston Williams looking to build on strong rookie season

With the last few picks in my 2020 Dynasty Superflex Mock Draft, I am targeting players with an upside that could breakout. One player that has breakout potential after a torn ACL ended his rookie season prematurely is my 15th player drafted, Miami Dolphins wide receiver, Preston Williams.

    Williams’ Fantasy Analysis

Williams was an undrafted rookie receiver who started in seven of eight games played last season, catching 32 of 60 targets for 428 yards and three touchdowns. He was the best pass-catcher on the Dolphins and was the No.39 wide receiver during the first half of the season before sustaining the knee injury.

All reports indicate that Williams will be ready to go for the season opener, and he should hold the number two spot opposite DeVante Parker.

Grabbing Williams seems to be a no-brainer here as the reward outweighs the risk on a wide receiver who will be a weapon regardless of who is playing quarterback for the Dolphins.

    Round 16: WR Parris Campbell

Campbell is a fantasy flyer after an injury-riddled rookie season

I was hesitant in selecting another receiver hereafter just taking Williams, so I looked at quarterback Jarrett Stidham or running back Justin Jackson. However, I dipped my feet back into the receiver pool and took former Ohio State wide receiver, Parris Campbell.

Campbell only played seven games in his rookie season. He missed time with an assortment of injuries, including a hamstring injury, a broken hand, and a broken foot. Because of all of these injuries, Campbell only recorded 18 catches for 127 yards and just a single touchdown in seven games.

    Campbell’s Fantasy Analysis

Campbell was the only offensive player taken in the 2019 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. In his senior season at Ohio State, he had over 1,000 yards receiving, and 12 touchdowns then ran a blazing 4.33 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine.

Campbell was expected to be another vertical weapon to pair up with T.Y. Hilton and then quarterback Andrew Luck. Fast forward to the 2020 season, and the addition of Philip Rivers in free agency should help utilize Campbell’s elite speed.

The former Buckeye looks to have the number three spot as the slot receiver in the Colts offense wrapped up as long as he can stay healthy. The speedster is in line for plenty of targets in Indianapolis and should have a breakout season.
