But, it was the playoffs where the two shined. While names like Gronkowski and Welker were available, it was Edelman who caught 118 catches for 1,442 yards and five touchdowns from #12. For seven straight seasons, Wayne totaled over 1,000 yards playing alongside Manning. In total, they connected for a mind-numbing 10,748 yards and 69 touchdowns, including the historic 53-yard TD in Super Bowl 41. The Greatest Show on Turf found its QB, but it needed the perfect foil for Kurt Warner. While Torry Holt was a candidate for the spot, the route-running ability of Bruce set him apart as he totaled 1,165 yards and 12 TDs that season, including a 70-yard bomb in Super Bowl 34. For their time together, the two tallied 26 TDs and 3,977 yards. A blast from the past, these two had an 11-year run together in which Unitas won 3 MVPs and Berry came within the two-five twice. They were critical to the Colts winning back-to-back in 1958 and 1959, as they totaled 9,275 yards and 68 TDs in their time together. The 1983 NFL Draft gave the Miami Dolphins one of the all-time great QB-WR combos. For nearly a decade, the two ran roughshod over the league, totaling 8,643 yards and 82 TDs in that timeframe. The run game was the bread-and-butter for the 1970s Pittsburgh Steelers. But, it was Bradshaw and Swann's connection that made them truly unstoppable and won them 4 Super Bowls. During their time together, they connected for 5,462 yards and 51 TDs Part of the group that made the Dallas Cowboys America's Team, the Aikman Irvin duo was thriving on talent and star power. Topping 100 yards 47 times, the duo was responsible for multiple Super Bowls en route to totaling 9,949 yards and 54 TDs together. Arguably the greatest WR of all-time, he was sensational playing alongside Steve Young. The duo had 11,462 yards and 119 TDs in their time together, numbers that didn't do justice to their playoff excellence. For example, in Super Bowl 29, Rice was responsible for 149 of Young's 325 thrown yards and also half of his six TDs. While their regular season numbers aren't as prolific, one of the all-time great QBs and the greatest WR ever would make this list off of their playoff success alone. Back-to-back Super Bowl titles saw Rice post over 400 yards and 4 TDs, with their time together yielding the San Francisco 49ers 6,710 yards and 67 TDs. 12,766 yards and 112 TDs. Need we say more? For a decade, they were the ultimate cheat code in the league. They have the most TDs for a QB-WR combo in NFL history, have a Super Bowl together, and are undeniably deserving of the No. 1 spot on the list.
